I'll be happy when this thread moves to the next page so that everytime I open the thread on my phone the app doesn't "briefly" show me a picture of Aaron Taylor-Johnson in his undies.

We can post through it and move to the next page though there's always a chance someone could snipe the top of that one with the same image.

That was my plan, yes.

For content, here's some banned commentary from old the laserdiscs that "they" (Eon productions) don't want you to hear anymore. Fun facts include Rosa Klebb's actor having an active sex life well into her 80s.

Too hot for Blu-Ray lmao. Like why would you care if the actors are getting some, have they seen what their main character does?

Yes, and posting that post I knew that was the risk but I also expected someone to point that out ahead of time like you did, and possibly rob the future joke of some of its allure, thus sparing me.

But I also knew the risk of talking about the plan runs the risk of people thinking that I must want it to happen, because why not shut up and therefore ensure nobody reposts it?

Maybe I'll bring it up at my appointment next week.

Seventeen more after this post, if i count correctly. Pick it up and you're safe!

Part of it was the end of the drought. There was a six year pause between License to Kill and Goldeneye, by far the longest gap in the series and only tied by the Spectre/NTTD interval.

They may have some weird blackout deal with TBS or Spike or whatever network has the Bond marathon every fall too. If that's still a thing.

I like how we can't get higher than 8 or 9 yet lets use a couple digit placeholder in case we have 999 agents.

00 was a category so we'd see 00-10, etc if they ever got that many.

Yeah basically. Or a slightly less ironic Austin Powers.

Audience votes on whether Bond is Professional, Suave or Aggressive.

Let's get someone who's played The Doctor also play Bond and really gently caress with some heads.

Chas Smash as 007.

Although an episodic bond show could be kinda badass. 2 episode arcs max. Just bond doing cool adventures for an hour. Some episodes are badass high octane save the world plots and others can just be Bond having a very cool conversation with a villain to the death.

I know it won’t be anything like that but I’d be into it

Just watch the old Danger Man show, that's this.

Pascal was also really into paying women actors much less than male actors and when asked about it after the hacks she claimed the pay gap was the fault of women for being willing to work for cheaper. While scummy, she admittedly may not be much worse than any other entertainment executive in that regard.

"The franchise was snapped up by the streaming giants after 2021’s No Time To Die featured the death of the super-spy, played by Daniel Craig.

A TV insider told The Sun: “They can’t just pretend it didn’t happen. So they’re looking at his story as a younger man in a different era.”

TV Insider = someone from that poo poo rag rag made it up.
OF COURSE they can pretend it didn't happen.

An origin/prequel would be absolutely lame as gently caress.

lmfao that was the opening scene of casino royale. These people have no loving imagination.

yeah it's also the kind of thing where you can go like "make a list of all the gay characters in the James Bond franchise" and it would be a short list that's entirely villains and psychos lol

You point stands though I note that the much longer list of "straight characters in the James Bond franchise" is also largely psychos.

(Although at least Live and Let Die is an inversion of the Blaxploitation formula… albeit a racist inversion, sadly. Imagine if they had cast Sidney Poitier as Bond, going up against a white Mafioso or drug lord… as well as fighting the racism within MI6, culminating in Bond “taking out the trash” in both institutions and becoming the next M or resigning. That would be an interesting Blaxploitation Bond film.)

Do this today with Idris Elba and I'm here for it.
