Die Another Day and Spectre are both utterly miserable slogs. TWINE is rough and way too long, and pretty much everyone but Robert Carlyle is sleepwalking through it, but it has enough cool set pieces and a killer theme song to be watchable.

For Moore...

The Spy Who Loved Me
For Your Eyes Only

Campy Moore...
A View to a Kill (hell it has Walken in it and the blimp scene)
Octopussy (Still a little tough for me to recommend, but it has grown on me)

Been watching a bunch of these I had never seen before, and, uh, wow Thunderball made a billion dollars. Oof.

Diamonds are Forever is 50% a really good movie and 50% an absolute dreck and by the end I was just so glad Blofield was dead forever until the Craig-tinuum. Tiffany Case just sucks out loud. I also feel like I missed a scene because I still have no idea how Bond knew where she was going after the failed attempt to catch her with the Jewels.

Diamonds are Forever is a guilty pleasure of mine because I have nostalgia for old Vegas and Mustangs.

And let's be honest, the tropes generated from that made other films possible.

If the song View to a Kill wasn't so drat good the score of View to a Kill would be terrible, what with its songs "View to a Kill (tension)" and "View to a Kill (romantic)" and "View to a Kill (battle)". Instead drat its good.

I still can't stop laughing at "Zorin speaks 5 languages with no accent" and then its Christopher Walken not even really trying to cover up how he talks.

Hell, it is Duran Duran. They could take a dump in a studio and it would sound pleasant.

The best thing about Jaws in Moonraker is that he doesn't just coincidentally appear, like J.W. Pepper.

1. Bond kills Drax's #2
2. Drax calls some kind of henchman hotline to get a new #2
3. Jaws is obviously available, since he no longer works for Stromberg.
4. Jaws then has to fly out to his new employer, and therefore has to go through a metal detector.

Helping Bond at the end is just the cherry on top.

Cripes, now I gotta watch Moonraker for a refresher.

I’d suggest that the (in)famous sequence with Blofeld is generally considered a bit off the wall. “I’ll buy you a delicatessen, in stainless steel!” is a standout line.

One the other hand, there’s plenty of classic Bond moments, for instance the ‘car kicking’ scene. One of those rare moments where Roger Moore plays Bond as ice-loving-cold, which is refreshing.

I will also say that the scene at the beginning where the ship is sunk and the officer is scrabbling around for the self-destruct switch on the ATAC while handcuffed to the console before drowning hosed me up royally as a child!

Points taken lol.

From what I heard Moore didn't like the car kicking scene which he should have.

Guess what I'm saying it was a straight-forward type thing (besides the mountain climbing scenes) and well how to ignore the ice skater?

The film either implies that Tiffany is an American expat living in Holland or is a Dutch national (who has no accent)… and that she’s been living in Amsterdam for a while to help facilitate the smuggling operation. So… does she have a place in Vegas in addition to her main residence in The Netherlands? If so, how would Plenty know who Tiffany was and where her house was?

There was tons of stuff cut. Such as sneaking back in, digging through her purse and finding her address. Then showing up and the dynamic duo are waiting there and drown her.
