roomforthetuna posted:Was that an actual shape, like could you 3D print it and hold a hemisphere that's a banana from another angle? Or is it actually morphing? Yeah that's not like an optical illusion spin, the orb is deflating into the banana. Actually, its more accurate to say that it was likely a banana first and then inflated into a sphere, and this is the reverse process. |

Or is it actually morphing? it’s actually a sphere the entire time but I’m applying a vector displacement shader to it. the animation is just increasing the strength of the displacement from 0-1 RazzleDazzleHour posted:Yeah that's not like an optical illusion spin, the orb is deflating into the banana. i guess its more accurate to say its just a material applied to a sphere, here's the node tree from blender |

this is a shader applied to a simple plane, the animation is driven by the sound so that's why it's kinda jank https://i.imgur.com/TBSaJep.mp4 |

Did you know that will a little elbow grease and absolutely no know how you too can create an aberration to all that is good to both god and man? You can even use grease pencil layered in with the 3D and physics modeling systems to somehow make multi gig gifs! Pulling some work from the MM Brazil thread because work and other life stuff prevents me from dumping time into blender these days. |
