I’m embarrassed about this, but last month I asked the thread for recommendations for meaty RPGs on Switch, but I’m having trouble finding the post and the subsequent replies. Um so, what are some meaty RPGs available on Switch?

Octopath doesn’t seem so great, and I already have the Final Fantasies on PC or iPad, what are some other good ones?

I recommended Atelier but you probably could have guessed that without checking

Ah yeah, I think you recommended one I already had on Steam (Lydie and Her Sister)

I always thought it sucked that Bowsette was usually depicted as a typical Hot Horny Anime Girl instead of, you know, a female version of Bowser

The first panel depicts Bowser holding a Double Cherry, an item that allows a character to clone themselves.

The second panel depicts Bowser standing with his own clone and holding the dreaded Super Crown, the item that allows Toadette to become Peachette.

The third panel depicts Bowsette, the fan-made character created when fans speculated what would happen if Bowser used the Super Crown. Bowser stands next to her with his arm around her. The implication is that Bowser is gonna gently caress his own genderbent clone lol

Thank you! I didn’t know about the cherry

Atelier Rorona has a side character named Esty Dee, so fuckin weird

To kill time at the airport today, my friend and I played that alphabet game, where you have to name things in sequence that start with each letter of the alphabet. I had to do J, and my friend told me I’m disqualified because I couldn’t remember whether it’s Jax & Daxter or Jak & Dexter or whatever, I’m very embarrassed

Played four hours straight of Atelier Rorona on the plane, I think it’s real good. I do wish combat was a few notches more complex, though

Also BotW still rules. The Switch is good

What if a sliding block puzzle but it's on a timer and you get a game over if you fail it and the last save point was before a bunch of other instant death traps?

I’m only interested if there’s a long unskippable cutscene beforehand that features plenty of dialogue that has to be x’d through

You certainly do slide a lot of blocks in video games. There’s the classic sliding block, there’s sokoban-style, there’s you’re-on-ice-so-blocks-fly-in-a-straight-line, there’s escort-this-box-across-the-room-so-you-can-reach-this-ladder, there’s push-this-one-block-that’s-conspicuously-out-of-place-among-the-others, there’s Tetris, and there’s countless physics-reliant variants...

Pillars of Eternity 2 patch

quote:

The Ultimate Challenge

In addition to the above changes, Patch 5.0 also introduces the Ultimate Challenge for Deadfire. The challenge is not for the faint of heart, and only the most devoted and erudite of our players stand even a chance in this challenge, but the first twelve players to triumph will be immortalized in Obsidian's studio lobby for all to see. The first twelve Watchers to succeed at the challenge will get their names and their Watchers' names, classes, and levels upon our Deadfire Ultimate Challenge plaque hanging in our lobby. And yes, that means that everyone who comes through our studio will bear witness to the glory of your triumph.

Not only that, but the first 50 players who complete the challenge will get a very special patch that not only celebrates your achievement wherever you wish to flex it, but also has Josh's face on it to let the world know you have his approval.
