Episode 16: "Okay but I'm not cheating on Triss"

In retrospect, the number of sex scenes was drastically reduced between Witchers 1 and 2. At the very least, I only found the one sex scene with Ves in Witcher 2, whereas I had a lot of collectible cards to censor in Witcher 1. At this point, I don't know which way Witcher 3 will lean on this.

I’ve actually seen people complaining about the lack of sex scenes in Witcher 3 on other message boards. Most of it seems due to the fact that specific dialogue choices and actions are required for each scene and they aren’t as easy to get as in previous series games. That, or the lack of scenes with a specific character.

Episode 18: "This looks bad"

After the... 'understated' meeting of Yennefer earlier in the game, I probably should have been expecting this likewise tepid reaction in the first meeting with Triss.

At least she’s in the game- unlike some other sequel games that just dump the past love interest as if they never existed.

I loved how she casually put her burning hand on her hips. Very unsuspicious.

Obviously, that wasn't supposed to happen in the cutscene.

Episode 19: "I literally don't know where to find Triss"

I do find Triss in a later episode, eventually. Sort of.

Which segues into the topic of backlog. It turns out that I want to play Witcher 3 because it's a good and compelling game, and even with editing afterward, I am building up a lot of unpublished videos. Great for my Patreon patrons with early access, not great for my memory. I am going to do my best to publish videos on a regular schedule going forward (leaning toward Sunday/Tuesday/Friday).

Episode 25: "It'll never play on Broadway" :nws:

I'm sorry if I forgot to tag any episodes as NWS because it comes to mind now that I probably did. In any case, nonsense with Dandelion will dominate the main quest for a while and I hate it. Dandelion was fine as a side character in Witcher 1 but 2 and 3 have him as too much of a narcissistic rear end in a top hat to be endearing.

I know this is part of your backlog and you're way past this, but just fyi, there's an armor merchant/smith behind the pyres in Hierarch Square, and if you go south of the square to the fish market, there's a weaponsmith in the northeast corner. You only need Hattori to be able to craft Master-level items.

Episode 36: "I don't belove Dandelion"

Is it just me, or is there significantly more effort required to deal with Dandelion than any other part of the main quest so far? Seriously, it feels like an objectively disproportionate amount of the game compared to errands run around Velen, and not just my dislike for Dandelion making it seem worse in my own mind.

I appreciate you're probably keen to wrap this all up sooner rather than later, but I do feel like skipping most side quests kind of misses the point of The Witcher 3.
At the same time, you've been at this for 18 months, haven't enjoyed most of your time with the games so far, and - relatively speaking - aren't far away from the end, so I don't mean that as criticism.

It's definitely a weird balancing act. My natural tendency, as shown in the first 20ish episodes of Witcher 3, is very much on the completionist side. I'm having to force myself to skip side quests, but I worry about going too far in the other direction. Drilling down just main quest content is just robbing myself of good content. So what I'm generally ending up doing is trying to focus on just the characters that engage me immediately, which will unfortunately still skip good content, but at least means I will staunchly refuse to do anything Dandelion wants me to do.
