Good news everyone, bullshit tenancy fees are banned from today so it's illegal for letting agents to charge you £250 to read their emails. Expect new rental costs to rise though and hold your ground if renewals come in with an above inflation bump

Any game of D&D where one player is an Oath of the Common Man paladin.

I put off playing Deus Ex Human Revolution for a long time because I expected it to be very technofetishist (the anti-augmentation faction is clearly set up to be villainous), and then at the end felt that the villain had made a very compelling case that if the only choices for the future were "humans will be enslaved secretly to a cabal of authoritarians" or "humans will be enslaved in all but name to the whims of the free market", then the only moral choice would be to destroy the future.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall doesn't explicitly set out a leftist argument, but your home base is an anarchist commune in future Berlin, which is nice.

No, it's just heavily inspired by it. Much of the gameplay is the same, but it's worth checking out for the story

Oh yeah, Final Fantasy VII puts forth the argument that direct action is morally justified to halt the destruction of the planetary biosphere, and that large corporations are in fact run by complete morons who can't be trusted to do the right thing, and will gently caress up massively and let you down even on the rare occasion where their interests align with everyone else.

Sadly I don't think there's a character who says "Well, I know powering our city by burning the liquified soul of our planet is bad, but blowing up the reactors is equally bad, I'd prefer a peaceful free market solution instead" to hammer the point in.

Night in the Woods also does mental health issues as a theme extremely well, as well as being a great illustration of the decline of small-town America and the dangers of exploiting people's nostalgia for the past.

Doesn't hurt that the art style is fantastic too. Everyone should go play it.

Redfaction series, Tropico (building a socialist utopia gets you the best results every time)...... that’s it for me. I can’t think of many games that explicitly present a leftist perspective rather than just a path you can take (which would make games like EU iv a contender because you can run your nation as progressive and do well).

^^^^^^^^
I was debating whether or not to mention nitw because I didn’t know if just the background of capitalist civilisation strangling the small town you live was enough but yeah I guess there’s more themes that you wouldn’t really get outside of a ‘leftist’ game. Or to put it another way: the themes of the game, while not directly political, strongly imply that the devs are leftist.
