It’s always amusing to see people respond to these events. The father looking through photos of his kids is effective for a very large market of parents. The workflow poo poo for the expensive Mac Pro is going to be going over very well for the monied developer or creative crowd. If something seems silly or not worthwhile it’s often because it isn’t marketed for you rather than just being dumb.

I assume that Sidecar comes to the iPad Mini and regular iPad, which pushes the cost/benefit argument in favor of Macs for hobbyists/independent artists. Like, if I'm an aspiring designer or comics artist or whatever I might more readily consider a MacBook Air or MBP if I can add an iPad as a graphics tablet for $400 than something like a Surface Pro or cheaper Windows notebook.

i just realized that buying a bunch of mac minis are going to be more cost effective than a single mac pro for some workloads. The $6000 of the base level MP would buy you five hexacore mac minis (=30 physical cores) with $500 budget for a KVM, switch, etc.
