Didn't they touch on this last episode with Luke buying the baby supplies right before June called? He did the whole "how does anyone even afford this stuff?" to which the response "no one else needs to buy it".

Yeah, I noticed this. But it’s definitely the first time it’s been brought up in a while.

I mean it had some excellent shots but I gotta agree with all the people itt who think the plot was terrible. The mouth ring thing is just fuckin stupid, and clearly only done for cheap shock value.

I wouldn’t mind June and Waterford character drama if it wasn’t dumb as poo poo and breaking every established rule the show set up

Still watching the episode but it seems so weird that the SDH subtitles always call June “Ofjoseph”

401 drat June evil now, that ‘make me proud’ part was creepy as hell

e: drat this post called it

She's definitely losing it, her arc over the cliff and down into madness is readily apparent this season. So next year we get psycho-June taking over the resistance. Expect things to get messy.

This episode was completely pointless. It told us nothing we didn’t already know and had no reason to exist. Pretty good to see June get bitched out for being a jackass, though.

In the novel the very racist state of Gilead either relocated or "relocated" all African Americans ("Sons of Ham") to the Midwest.

They also relocated all Jews back to Israel with at least one shipload being sunk at sea.

Luke is a dude who escaped to Canada when Gilead took over and doesn’t live there. Why would him being black bother you?

The scene that the title of this week’s episode is a reference to (I figure most people will know what it is but I’m being vague just in case) was SO loving good omg. It can be easy to take Elisabeth Moss for granted given how much we see of her in this show but she really is such an incredible performer, holy poo poo.

No idea if the rest of the episode will suck or not but that was an absolutely fantastic scene. Fred is such a loving lunatic lmao

How is she not in a Canadian supermax instead of wandering around free as well?

The episode makes it sound like she escaped to Canada and just made out that she was another refugee rather than telling them she used to be an Aunt

Definitely foreseeing a “Hannah for June” thing going on in the finale. Can’t remember if it was someone here or elsewhere who predicted that, but it seems very likely to me now. Then maybe the transport they’re taking her back in gets attacked by the resistance group (I forgot their name).

the most unrealistic thing about this show is that Canadians would ever be this unfriendly

I believe this season has been the best since the first. Even if at this point it’s for totally different reasons and is about pure entertainment value and hilarious silliness (although I will go to bat for many elements of the Serena birth episode).
