I just finished watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It was an alright rom-com, but I really enjoyed the focus on the main character’s family and their culture. I’m looking for similar light-hearted movies where the character’s family and cultural background play a big role, things like Moonstruck, Eat Drink Man Woman, and probably a lot more I can’t think of right now.

I know there are films like The Joy Luck Club that sort of fit what I’m looking for, but I’ve been in the mood for less drama and more comedy lately. I prefer non-romantic comedy, but it's fine if it is. I'm also fine with non-English movies. :)

I think there are some rom-com elements in it, but The Wedding Banquet is pretty good.

e: seeing that you saw Eat Drink Man Woman, you're probably already aware of this one
