Same. Bob barker always seemed mildly annoyed by the contestants who wanted to hug him, etc. Drew Carey seems like he’s starved for the warm embrace of a human but is trying to play coy to disguise it.

These people have been standing in the California sun for 12 hours and half are probably drunk so yeah, I'd have issues too. But if you watch old episodes from the 70s and early 80s on YouTube he's all over the younger girls.

I used to only see it out of Buffalo on Fox at midnight on Saturday. The one with midgets was quite a fun and it's so obviously staged.

Eh, local news and productions can be neat. Not everything is streaming, even in 2019, and all the good premium stuff costs money to watch legally anyway, so here in Canada you may as well get a Crave sub, which carries the Showtime and HBO catalogues and streaming options. (In my case I pay less than list/prepay price for it, via a cable sub, since Telus likes having me as a subscriber for all these years. Contracts CAN work in your favor!)

No one can replace Bob. We all know it. Drew does too. It's akin to Johnny Carson in that whoever actually got that job wasn't really getting into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like most other rock-solid showbiz gigs; they were going to be the sacrificial lambs for the legacy for at least half a generation, or until enough of a younger audience came aboard and the New Guy was the de facto host for them and the older one's memory of the King had faded just enough. Same goes for whoever replaces Alex Trebek.

That said, I do wonder what would have been had "Queen of Nice" talk show era Rosie O'Donnell been the one who got it; the only reason she didn't was because she would have had to move from NYC to LA. (Maybe she would've avoided the pitfalls of that Boy George Broadway flop and getting into that catfight with Trump back when he was just a TV host with a superego.)

Don't worry, I'll give you a sign. The sign will be that life is awesome
When I was in school the only time I ever got to watch The Price is Right was when I was sick or it was a holiday so it always brings back feelings of being home from school and just hanging out. Even today I like to torrent a couple episodes and watch it on Saturday morning.

There was a period when I was underemployed back in the early 90's where I could watch Star Trek TNG in syndication on various channel. It would be on at 11, 12, then again at 6 then old Trek at 10 and TNG on again at 11. Or something like that, I'm not sure I was usually stoned all day when I wasn't at work back then.
