As stupid as it sounds? IoT is a big thing with big data companies. The more devices connected to the internet, the more data you can exploit. A tech company's wet dream is every core device a person owns uploads its data to the cloud where a machine learning script an underpaid intern wrote in a hackathon makes some rough guess of who you are to sell to a credit card company for 12 dollars. The future!

I don't think you can use blockchain to do a government why do people think blockchain is good for anything? I never understood that, and I've read about people throwing billions of dollars at it for 11 years and I still don't understand. afaik it's a technological innovation for non-centralized verification of data input. it sounds, harder to spoof than a database, probably. has it ever been used to do anything other than preventing a digital token from fraudulently being used twice? like what? and how??? how does that help do a government, ibm??? people throw it around the way new age weirdos throw around words like "quantum" we can cure cancer by channeling the natural energies that flow through you into a quantum crystal gently caress off hippie we can cure cancer by channeling the data that flows through your biological cells into a blockchain cool here's 15 billion dollars I'm not an expert but it seems to me like it's a safer bet to pray to the fearsome lake gods that I just made up. good luck to ibm with their quantum crystal government, though, I hope it goes really super
