It did remind me a bit of the old modem times. Click open half a dozen threads in a new window each and walk away and do something else. Come back and tab through each window, refreshing the ones that timed out. Read the threads that did managed to load. Hopefully after you close all the threads that did load, the other ones will have loaded. Repeat.

Also heads up, we're trying our new, experimental way of re-indexing the forums tonight / very early tomorrow morning. This could result in slow load times, 504s, timeouts, the deletion of the entire forum, access to other users' credit card info, becoming a real jackass like Jeff Fahey in The Lawnmower Man, wizard issues and more.
