I like to actually interact with the people I'm posting with and have a conversation I can follow. The chat thread used to kinda be that way and I preferred this type of thread this year. I really don't understand the point of spamming stuff into the void that nobody will read or respond to. Anyway, this was one of the best marathons so far and I appreciate reading recommendations of stuff I missed that I wouldn't have normally bothered watching.

This was a good thread! It moved at a decent pace but you could actually catch up and follow it if you wanted to. Unfortunately the same was not true of SGDQ - I was very busy this week and there were so many good runs that I didn't have a chance to catch up and follow it at all. I guess that's what Youtube is for. Congratulations to all our goon runners, commentators and staff for the three million dollars raised!

I was watching TRAG earlier and is it just me or does Caveman look unrecognizable without his moustache? I was like "Who is this guy and why does he have the same name?" then had to look up old GDQ runs to compare.

Iceplug's run of Super Bomberman 2 is good. He also had a great run of Home Alone 2 at AGDQ, but both then and now he got put in at, like, 3 AM, so I don't blame anyone for overlooking them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT4438BnA_c

I didn't say that was a bad thing The half life race is frantic as hell, I wouldn't recommend it as background, and is fast to the point where they don't even have time to fully explain some stuff. But it's definitely worth a watch it's crazy

I still think that even with the awesome race of SMW blind relay, the technical skill of (blind) Punch-Out or various others, my favourite of the event is still Shrek Extra Large. The audience (and commentators) is just roaring from laughter all throughout. And I just picked up a detail I missed in the live: I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the audience mimicking the funny walks of the peasants around 1:40 in the run. Authorblues: The best thing about this game is that there are a lot of missions about getting someone to some location and we will punt every one of them. Silo_Simon: It's sadly the fastest way to go about doing it... Authorblues: Sadly?? I f*ing love the deadpan serious way Simon commentates the craziness of the things he does in the run while Authorblues and Spikevegeta are just laughing the whole time. Just curious what people were seeing in the TRAG run? Was it just couch banter or something that comes up later in the game? Watched about 10 minutes and nothing about the game itself really stood out.

While the run itself isn't super captivating, it has its moments of madness that are very enjoyable and the couch banter stays entertaining throughout.

For those interested: here is a YouTube playlist that has just about every piece of music that was played between runs at this year's SGDQ. There are a few pieces that are missing (such as arrangements that were made for Grand Poo World 2 or those made by either Arthur x Medic or PrismaticBlack) but those can be found at the following Soundcloud links: https://soundcloud.com/arthurxmedic/he-is-here https://soundcloud.com/prismaticblack/thantos-remix https://soundcloud.com/com_poser/at-dooms-gate https://soundcloud.com/kevinvillecco/pokelude Enjoy!

I wish I could get that on Spotify, but I guess many of the OC Remix tracks aren't available there. I have to download songs from OC Remix website and add them as local files to maintain my own OCR playlist too.

Did they seriously raise almost a million during chrono trigger alone? I just started watching it and was not expecting the tracker to start at like 2.1.
