This is cool and very good. Funnily enough, the EU broadcast team for League of Legends have been doing a lot of rap and music performances to hype up the regional league. Just trying to imagine crack theories of a DOTA 2 vs LOL rap battle which could be hilarious.

How long is B8 going to stick around as an org? Even if it's Dendi bankrolling the whole thing, they can't last much longer given their ongoing results.

Iím pretty sure his stream still makes good numbers, itís just that dendi has always wanted to compete whereas Bulldog definitely settled into his streamer niche

It seems like Gorgc is the only DotA streamer making real numbers on Twitch. But I honestly have no idea how twitch numbers correlate to money for mid-level streamers. I assume low-level (anything less than 5-10k viewers) make basically no money?

The numbers vary wildly, but people who can consistently get 2-5k viewers can pull in quite a bit. ~$2.50 per sub (per month), donations, tips (can be a huge amount or almost nothing), and ads. It's totally plausible that someone who streams 30 hours a week to an average of 2k viewers can pull in $2-3k a month. Not exactly rolling in it, but it's a solid side income. Of course people who only pull in a few hundred viewers or less are going to be making a pittance.

Viewer count in dota and in general doesn't really mean much for sub and donation money, oddly enough. SingSing's subs + income went up by a lot after he started variety streaming and losing 10k+ viewers

Basically what Taffer and Kild said. Since dendi doesn't stream for ENG territories and usually just for CIS, he gets his viewers from there. There will sometimes be overlap when dendi does a stream with like Slacks or something, but usually not the case. Once you reach like the thousands~ tier of viewers, it means your stream is one of the bigger ones on the platform. You don't need crazy xqc or asmongold numbers to cultivate a healthy streaming community thats willing to donate and sub.

CIS has a couple guys who regularly crack 10k in Dota 2 still. I assume they are just streaming dudes like Gorgc instead of pro players but I don't actually know.
