I know its really, really petty because not everyone's got the supplies or know how to make colored artwork good and lord knows Dominc Deegan was, is and never will be well-drawn but I despise DD's color strips in particular Just....just really pulling out the ol' crayola markers huh? Coloring them in like a 12 year old. It just looks so bad in a very distinct way from his usual fair, and its effect is only enhanced by the bad art.

There's just something about Dominic's Mom & Dad being extremely powerful important characters who are very good at everything they do and also bail their baby boy out of trouble near-effortlessly that just makes me go really, mookie

I always knew DD was terrible and I caught the last few mock threads and sort of knew the highlights of some of the more infamous moments and such but uhhhhhh reading all this, but specifically this last chapter is just going "oh wow ... So I know mookie purposely doesnt plan things out, but, to this point it does seem like he had like...ideas? He may not have sketched out anything that would happen in a real timeline, but he had a rough outline of things he wanted to do. It's just interesting to compare any of these stories, not just this one, to Legacy where byu this point it is full stop question marks and shrugs every single page.

I think Miranda might be my least favorite character in the comic, somehow. Something about Miranda, how she's portrayed, how she's literally dominic's mom. Just comes together in a way than, say, any of mookie's string of other mary sues does. And all his villains reflect more on mookie than they do as characters in themselves. Also "He wasn't under the protection of his mother" is an amazing line to say with complete seriousness. Like you could have easily said "under the protection of the archsage"

I think it's kind of novel to let 2 artists do their own thing with the same story, especially for a short little aside like this. Gives different vibes, like in those last 2 pages. I just wish Mookie also did his version of the story just so we can see side by side by side how 2 separate people clown on his art

I like how Ink Witch has a ship (for some reason) that destroyed his house to get her (for some reason) then crashed (for some reason) and no explanation for that ship was ever given The obvious answer is "wouldn't it be cool if there was an ominous ship!?" and "what if that ship destroyed his house!!" and "what if hte ship crashed...reuniting them!!!" and then once he was done with the toy it was out of sight out of mind but c'monnnnnnnn
