we have so many smart/creative folks j ust posting all this poo poo here in this dead gay forum a zine project might be really fun i'm a graphics person and know a decent amount about putting stuff like this together, nothing really beyond that, especially not printing and stuff could be quarterly digests of politics/music/film/gaming/art with 6-12 people willing to put in a hobbyist amount of hours into producing something every 4 months, it could turn into something pretty special any interest? EDIT: shutting down thread for now, no time at all too much craziness IRL

a format idea i had was a kinda digest of CSPAM political discourse/joking/effort posts/banter with articles and content stuffed in between so like, you'd flip to page 2 and there'd be a bunch of thread chatter (curated by whoever sees an interesting bit of talk) on pages 2-3 and then on page 4-5 some content, then chatter again on 6-7 half the greatness of this forum is the balls to the wall approach to gaming out what is happening in the world, and people take all sorts of angles

okay so i humbly submit this proposal; we shoot for a 01/01/2020 release for the first issue (due date for all content 12/01/19) CSPAM inaugural zine: the 2020 election guide we do run downs of all the (reminaing) dem candidates, we endorse one (Marianne williamson obv), we do a bunch of "the world is hosed anyway" content, some art on the front of the candidates (MAD magazine style maybe? someone help us do An Art) little snoo in the corner. "FIRST ISSUE? WOW." i'm pretty good with soc media, so i'll get a twitter and a website set up, and an easy way to get e-mail addresses. before the first release, we'll pump up a digital distro as much as possible, put together a PDF, then blast it out, inside will have a mission statement and how to subscribe to future issues, and we'll just go from there as far as paper content goes, we can look at doing a run of maybe a few hundred or so and passing them around to friends, family members, orgs (DSA et al) and other spaces and let them know to hit back on the mailing list to subscribe or find us for more info then just see how it does and go from there in the meantime i'd probably set up a discord none of this is set in stone, i refuse to create a hierarchical structure to do this and anyone can overrule if they get a consensus of contributors.
