I don't understand why there is that weird vocal fanbase there. Like AEW being successful isn't going to effect them in any way but giving another option to watch. If you don't like it, you don't have to watch it. Like I hope AEW is good and forces WWE to improve because I want good wrestling to watch.

But then again we have literal Nazis again. The world makes zero sense, people are stupid and we live in the darkest timeline.

Insecure people have difficulty separating an attack on a thing they like from an attack on them.

I'm pro-big sets. Wrestling is all about spectacle.

The correct sequence is Revengence, then the rest who gives a gently caress they're not Revengence.

I feel like his gimmick would seriously have diminishing returns for me. Like it's hysterical in doses but if it's the same exact story being told over and over I feel like I'd get bored.

Everytime I've seen him I think "eh, this is the show where I'm going to get sick of it" and then he busts out new jokes and tells a new story in the ring and I love it.

Boston looks like it's already close to a sell out.

Anyone can sell out a major city, lets see them put on a show in Centralia, PA. If people show up then we know they're actually popular.

I'm going to watch NXT because I'm the sort of person who rates restaurants on how much food they give you instead of the quality of the food.

Ticketmaster works with scalpers so that they resell through ticketmaster. The whole system is hosed.

Everything on reddit is astroturfed to some degree, I think using reddit or twitter to gauge anything is a pretty bad idea, at least when it comes to like, public interest or some poo poo. Let the numbers fall as they may. They don't lie (Scott steiner)

Even if it isn't astroturfed it's a minority of a minority. Your casual and lapsed fans are not posting on wreddit and they're the ones who are going to decide if AEW is successful.

Look at the stats on startups generally. Both on how long they stay on business. How long if/ever they turn a profit.

Also, TNA was like $40 million in the hole by 2008 (fact check me please on this one)?

AEW's early success has already been completely remarkable.

Yeah, I'm not disagreeing with that at all. I'm just saying that one Reddit subforum really won't give you a view of the casual fan and that long term success is dependent on them. Hardcore wrestling fans are, at best, an early warning system about where taste is.

I guess I don't understand what happened to Kylie. She just got too stressed out from the big stage of AEW, and retired? Did someone bully her or something?

I don't think anyone actually knows outside of probably her actual friends and family, she's just been radio silent and hasn't really been working but hasn't announced an injury or anything.

His elbows hurt, everyone already knows Mox's elbow is bad and it's likely he's out. Rovert is being coy about a thing already reported.

This makes you sound coy and like you're bragging about a secret you know but no one else does. If you just said:

No one would find you coy or uninformative. Just explain yourself instead of assuming everyone knows what you're talking about or what your intentions are.

Yeah, I feel like people are going to be into a title match because they're going to give it a lot of pomp and circumstance and people are just hungry for the product. No one's going to think it's a slave to the title match having to be last because the title match really does have to be last. Anything else hurts the prestige of your title. It might not be the best match of the card but it'll do fine.

I think I'd be more worried about people not being excited for the main event if this wasn't the same group of people who made Nick Aldis look like a big deal last year. That was before they were even a company, it was just a one off event.

Oh totally. Like, I am still really enjoying the product. I'm just tickled by how impressively dumb some of the dumb stuff is. They're obviously throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks and sometimes the stuff they throw is the weigh-in or "Elite Fleet"
