Dortmund is getting a lot of talk for actually doing a lot of good transfers on the other hand. Bayern may have won their seventh championship in a row, but with the least point total in those years. It seems like this is the best chance Dortmund or one of the other 16 (lol) will have in a while to dethrone the Rekordmeister.

I saw an article on some stats site that said their model would predict Bayern to get on average about 6 points more and BVB 10 points less for last season (based on number of shots for/against or something like that). I think Dortmund just had a really good run in the first half of the season and in the second half you could already see that was just a fluke. If this season is anything like the second half of last season, Bayern will win by 20 points again...

Everyone is equally lovely at the moment and these teams are just up there by luck imo. Hint: The team with the most Dusel will be Meister.

Saturday afternoon, good time for some Bundesliga!

Right?

:(

Almost eight weeks since last match - today would be 32. Spieltag. Bayern would probably be Meister by now.

Halbfinale DFB-Pokal Saarbrücken vs Leverkusen last week Wednesday. Wonder how that would have gone.

Reopening the season is going well for Dynamo: Three players tested positive and the whole team and staff have to isolate at home for two weeks, no training possible. I guess in theory they could play on the midweek matchday 27.5. with two days of training. :bravo:

Probably Dynamo Dresden is closest. Were good in the 70s/80s with some decent results in european competition then suffered terrible financial mismanagement in the 90s and got relegated to three leagues lower. Currently in 2.Bundesliga. Dynamo fans are not exactly well liked or well behaved either.

It owns being able to find streams for every lovely 2.Liga match because nothing else is on. It does not own to support a lovely 2.Liga team though who can't even get points off a clown show like Stuttgart because of being in quarantine for two weeks.

Goddamn HSV are completely terrible. If they end up getting promoted they need to buy a whole new team or they'll make Paderborn look good by comparison. Can't believe Dynamo managed to throw away that game in the last few minutes and let them get away with three points.

Wtf Nürnberg, don't be such a Depp! HSV making GBS threads the bed is fully expected, they've been terrible this season and would have struggled massively in the playoff anyway.

Dynamo getting relegated while the coach we chased away two years ago gets promoted with Bielefeld(!!!) is the loving cherry on top of this shitcake of a season. Can't believe what a clownshow the managment of this club is, they sacked the best coach we had in ages because of their stupid internal slapfights. Only was able to watch the post-corona matches live and it was quite sad to see. The good run of form from before the break just wasn't there anymore and it was such a struggle to come back in two weeks after everyone had already started playing. What I saw never looked like Zweitligafussball unfortunately.
Proper gutted but hopefully with a new sport director and new coach and new players things can be rebuilt in the 3.Liga. :(

3.Liga has Bayern 2. Mannschaft as Tabellenführer at the moment btw I wonder if that means the 2.+3. get promoted and there is no playoff or the 4. gets playoff?

Hasn't happened in the Bundesliga before. Not sure Schalke should be counted in these kind of stats though, the coach position there is such a Schleudersitz.

That would be funny. There's a whole bunch of other crappy teams though. Feels like any of Bremen, Köln, Bielefeld, Stuttgart, Schalke, Mainz, Augsburg, Hertha, Union could be involved in relegation this year. Maybe Freiburg even?

It's what you get if there's one team that's just way better than pretty much every other team and also has an in-form world class striker. Bit like with Messi or Ronaldo or Zlatan.

Seeing the club with the third biggest revenue in the league get relegated is definitely wild. Also the trio of Bochum, Kiel, Fürth as top 3 in 2.Liga is pretty funny.

Glad Dynamo made it straight back into 2.Liga, in true form kicking out the manager 4 matches before end of season (should've done that after relegation, he bad).

Things looking quite tricky in this group. Loss v France + draw v Portugal could easily happen and then you're suddenly in third because of goal difference without even any big upsets. Although being third worked well for Portugal last time so maybe it's the way forward?

Anyway looking forward to giving a poo poo about (and watching) national team matches again.

I think as a recognition for this great achievement of winning the Meisterschaft ten times in a row we should have the Bayern team and staff do a parade on a bus through the country all the way from Munich to Kiel and then drive the bus straight in the sea and dissolve the club and turn the Allianzarena into Schrebergaerten.

Honestly, sometimes it feels like Kimmich has some sort of blackmail material against his bosses, since nothing with him in forever. His corners have been poo poo for years, yet he continues to do 95% of them all. His freekicks suck, yet he still does way too many of them (most notable case in yesterday's game being a freekick from just outside the Strafraum near the goal-line with only a 2-man wall: He loped the ball over the entire Strafraum for a header while an actually competent freekick taker would have just fullforce kicked the ball straight around the wall and a confused goalkeeper), and despite being supposed to be a 6 he keeps on playing way too offensively and thus ripping the whole defense wide open. Which is extra funny since last week most Bayern officials said "We still need a true #6" and Kimmich bitched that they already got him. Well, as the match against RBL showed, no, they don't have a good 6 in Kimmich.

Maybe Kimmich gets to take standards because he's poo poo at headers? Direct freekicks aren't as effective as ones that set up a good header so there's some argument to be made there unless you have some insane specialist to take them.

For all Kimmich's strengths it doesn't feel he has the midfield space under control in a way others do so both the Bayern and Germany midfield have looked a bit more shaky in recent years than they should.

Anyone good isn't going to touch the position until after the EM because there is a high change it'll be a total clown show. Glasner is available so maybe get him in for a bit, see what happens? Heynckes as interim would be fun too.

Or maybe it's finally time for Loddar to come and save the day?

i still believe tommy tactics can self-destruct the season somehow

Only way that's gonna happen if is Tuchel pisses off the Bayern leadership and/or media and gets himself fired. Bit unlikely. There's always next season though! Also not sure any of the other teams can keep up.
