A few years ago my local med group's general incompetence caused them to retroactively label an acute injury-induced event a chronic MEB-able condition. After some months of dick-dance I got back on flying status and went on a chill deployment for a few weeks. At my next PHA they got all pissy about me flying til they realized a) they hosed up by letting me go with what they claimed was a grounding condition, and b) I was about to PCS and they could just sweep it under the rug. Which they did. I was kinda pissed it happened but didn't want to bring attention to it so

Re-watched independence day for the first time since it came out. I picked up on a couple details I missed the first time, most notably that a marine stealing a military vehicle to find his stripper girlfriend so they could get married before he goes off to fight is pretty believable.

At least they get human contact periodically. Years back at a station there was someone known as 'porn guy' because he had like five or six screens playing porn between two different computers. It wasn't a shock thing either, it was just...always on. Even when he wasn't there, because you could see it in the background when he opened his door to leave the room, or through the window when the curtains were open. Every once in a while he'd ask some rube for tech support on one device while porn was playing on the other one. He must have been paying for at least some of it because even if streaming sites existed, he wouldn't have had a high enough bandwidth or data cap to download it all in a time frame measured in anything other than years. I don't recall anybody knowing his actual name.
