Did the Iraqi army guns have "Property of US Army" stamped into them?

edit:

Do US Army rifles even have that stamp for that matter?

"AR" stands for "Army Rifle"

I guess he was ditching it, but my first though was that he was showing off and got wind shear'd.

My cousin used to fly Chinooks for the Australian Army, and he was barrelling along a beach in Western Australia circa 1998, at about 100 knots, around fifty meters up. His CO in the other seat said "how about a dust-up, get down near the deck and we'll give those guys behind us a show!". Well he did that, kicked up a bunch of sand and dust and then when he went past a bit of a cliff on the shore side, hit some wind shear and briefly bounced off the deck. All of the little porthole windows along the sides instantly popped out. They landed and went back and picked up the ones they could find, and then taped up the window holes and nursed it back to base.

He was written up for it, of course - a commendation for skilled flying in the face of dangerous conditions and managing to put it down safely after some "unforeseeable turbulence conditions" that affected their level, sensible flight.

When I was still in, I talked to a man (a warrant officer) who claimed to have been present in the base when members of the CAR tortured and killed Shidane Arone and swore up and down that they didn't hear anything while all of that was going on and claimed that the Airborne Regiment had been scapegoated. Precisely for whom, I have no idea.

It was a LAPES run with a Sheridan. The aircraft came in too steep and too fast. My buddy had worked a ton of LAPES tests as a DZ Medic for the Airborne Test Board and said that the 130 was moving in a lot faster than he had seen before and tapped the ground, bounced up and and the pilot lost control and that was that.
