two things from when i was really young 1) a picture book about a little girl named ruby(?) who lived in a world where everyone turned into animals under the light of the (red?) moon, but she didn't have this power and she felt left out. her parents always told her, don't worry about it, you will get the power eventually, but she didn't want to wait and went on a journey to see if she could find out how to turn into an animal. various things happen and i don't really remember the details but at the end she can turn into a bird. book had to have come out no later than 1992. 2) some computer game that was basically a proto visual novel. it came on a two-sided 5 1⁄4" floppy and ran on some old apple][-type computers at my elementary school. maybe it was even 8" but it definitely wasn't the small ones. the game had to have come out some time before 1995, which is around when i played it. you went through the story like a cyoa and i honestly don't remember very much about it. but in the beginning, a seer tells you "you need <THIS RED STATUE> to defeat the evil overlord" and later in the game, you get to choose between three statues. i chose the blue one because i was a rebel, and when i got to the end of the game, i lost and died because i had the wrong statue, go back to the beginning. the only other things i could tell you about it was that the colors were very EGA and that i think there was some character named inkapilia. i would love to be more specific about both of these things but i simply can't. Arven posted:Back in the 90s in an issue of PC Gamer there was a full page ad for a Mafia themed game that looked like a combination of a RTS on the strategic level with tactical x-com like combat. It implied you could do stuff like have some of your gangsters firebomb a business as a distraction while another group attacked a rival gang. I have no idea what it was called. no dude i know this is a real game, my bro had it in boarding school and played it on his lovely laptop this is the one right here man https://www.gog.com/game/gangsters_organized_crime Fur20 fucked around with this message at 02:31 on Aug 1, 2019 |

It was on a space ship though, not a colonial times sailing ship. the suggestion and screenshot of titan ae just sparked this memory in the darkest recesses of my consciousness die abenteur von pico & columbus is a movie set in the age of discovery, and takes place on the seafaring segment of columbus's expedition, with weirdly dark and serious drama about scurvy, mutiny, etc in spite of starring some cartoon termite straight out of fern gully

every few years i'll get it in my head that i can find this poo poo and it's just not gonna happen, so i gotta ask you guys to dust off your oldest HDs and burned discs for me i'm looking for old fan-made beatmania/bms files. this is entirely legal and on the up-and-up, these were publicly released by enthusiasts and have nothing to do with the licensed songs in the arcade cabinets, but the problem is finding them. these are all fuckin ANCIENT by internet standards, 1998-2001. the original artists have long since disappeared, there were no real backups, and everything was uploaded to defunct japanese sites from the turn of the century. specifically i'm looking for anything by Juno & Une, Shiro, Ken, ε&ο, and quite frankly anyone else you could find from that era. bmsworld.nz is really spotty, i've looked through all their uploads and it doesn't have a good collection from that timeframe. any help would be greatly appreciated

i wouldn't call it a white whale but lately i've been trying to find this creepypasta story about some hugely hungry lady who got stuck in an elevator with her daughter while going to see a doctor and then ate the daughter because she was hungry. it was told from the perspective of a paramedic or some guy who worked at the hospital or something? anyway it was an obvious bullshit story to anyone with a lick of logic but made your hair stand on end anyway

if we're asking for porn, there was this movie from probably around the late 90s to the early aughts, no later than 2003. it was some fantasy type setting, i can't remember if the guy wakes up in another world or if he's just a knight or whatever but he fucks a nymph and there are some lesbian fairies and poo poo. i don't think it was supposed to be a parody of anything specific, just using a high magic setting for fuckin. but that's really all i can tell you about it

Saint Freak posted:I finally found it. Hallmark's 1969 The Littlest Angel which appears to be on youtube in full. Oddly enough the top comment is also someone searching for it based on remembering only the same part. it's soooooo easy to remember the cliffhanger without remembering any of the other details. we watched about three quarters of a variety of rankin bass movies in preschool, and i remember nothing about them except for the part where the tape was stopped and strictly nothing else whatsoever. two penguins (seals?) stuck on a small iceberg about to get pecked apart by seagulls and that's it alternatively, when i was older, i saw about half of that dexter's lab movie, and the last scene i saw--as well as the only detail i remember about the entire thing--was fully jacked 30 year old dexter tunnelling through the ground with his bare hands

okay here's probably a quite hard one: i'm looking for a very certain gundam wall poster. my only details are that it's a gundam wall poster, probably produced in america, or at least produced for english-speaking countries, in the year 2000 or 2001 at the very latest. it has some quote in english from the anime about calmness, the surface of the water, or something like that. i don't need somewhere to buy it i just want to see it and i want to know what the quote actually says on it. but good fuckin luck right? lol
