it's an extremely good premise set in a very unique setting with excellent artwork and action and a cast of entirely likeable characters including one extremely marketable one.

there's really not much mystery to why it took off like a rocket.

yuri will definitely find out but be paralyzed by the knowledge because he cannot report loid without his sister being imprisoned/executed by the government for being a traitor, what with being married to Twilight of all people, and yuri would likely get targeted as well

ultimately, yuri isn't important enough to be the first to find out loid's identity. he's not loid's counterpart and equal; he's a minor antagonist.
yuri is an up-and-coming promising upstart of the secret police, I think they're making him out to be loid's foil. I don't think anyone else shown so far compares, or at least is as "interesting" a character.

He's a thug that has never done anything remotely competent in any appearance he's ever had and the only reason he isn't dead is Loid caught feelings from his fake family. Yuri got effortlessly dropped twice in this single encounter. He's not being setup for anything but a joke with a sister complex.
that's why I said he's a promising upstart, he's only 20 years old, a pretty new recruit to the SSS, and immediately was able to deduce something was up when loid impersonated him. If he managed to shoot loid here in the sewers, that's far more than most people have accomplished against loid in the series. That is impressive regardless of if he is a fuckup in regards to anything involving his sister. Remember he is also a master interrogator that the higher ups appreciate his methods, again despite being relatively new to his job.

I don't really like Yuri but disregarding him as a joke is exactly what the series wants you to think with the "being a dipshit with anything regarding his sister" gimmick.

yeah idk what else he was supposed to do since he knew what twilight was doing and if they didn't do something right this instant they'd lose their one legitimate shot at catching the legendary spy. telling his cohort to go get help rather than going with him into the sewers means that if he goes down, there's a possibility of further action, rather than them both getting got and their bodies disposed of in the sludge without anyone knowing what happened to them

oh hey, Figurama is doing a Spy x Family statue, and it's of the Forger family!
https://figurama-collectors.com/products/the-forgers-elite-figumiz-bundle

only a teaser image for now, reveal will be next week, and preorders in a month. I bought their Dorohedoro statue as my first foray into anime statues, and it's quite excellent, so I can only assume this will be of similar quality. They only do a very small run of sub-1000 items usually I believe, so this is the sort of thing you'll want to keep an eye on especially for something as big as SxF, it will probably sell out very fast.

Him having trouble making yor not be despicable as a murderer with undoubtedly dozens if not a hundred kills under her belt is totally understandable, I wonder if he will change it somehow down the line. Like I think he's tried to do that with the gardener person having her kill supposed "evil" targets. But when she inevitably targets Twilight, maybe that will be the turning point where she quits, or does her own thing, or something. I agree though, for a series that tries to juggle the cute family life with their secret brutal/serious jobs, yor seems like a near impossible task to balance.

he's clearly thinking things occasionally, when people interact with him, but when he's just minding his own business he is literally No Thoughts Head Empty

Kind of...okay I really don't like how abrupt Paul's death was. Like it full on came out of nowhere with no telegraphing that he was unwell and feels like it was done as a cheap gut punch. Could definitely have used a page or two to show some symptoms that he was off.
it's funny you say that, because to me it felt like he was off from the word go. he seemed like he was completely out of it both from denial or delusions and also from his injuries. them all just kinda be shunted into a cold train car with no cushioning or...anything, combined with his already obviously poor condition, was pretty easy to see what did him in. and he's not the only one.
