hey echinopsis buddy, how are you doing today. just checking in

been digging thru his hoards of poo poo, check out what this mother fucker did lol

thanks for asking, it means a lot. but I’m ok. weird times. dunno what to say, I mean, my dad was a grumpy mother fucker who made most situations worse with his presence, and so don’t know how things will feel as time goes on. we’re all glad we got a chance to say some nice things and he passed away quickly, so all things considered it’s a lot better than it could be. my kids were shocked, but not terrible upset.

I think missing him might come a bit more in the future. for now, just making the most of a few days off work and seeing my brother more than usual.

the support here has been really touching, and I am thankful to everyone who posted in support. it’s a good thing we’ve got here.

not quite sure what this means lol

feel guilty as because feel like I should care more, or should be more sad or distraught, and feel guilty because works been scrambling to cover me for bereavement leave when I could kind of just do it. just don’t feel good about anything. maybe that’s to be expected.

did someone say mcdonalds?

since the younger woman who I used to work with told me the secret* I’ve been ordering the secret at least a few times a week.

which is a combo where you can get a big mac AND a quarter pounder in a combo with large fries and drink and I get two salt sachets to makes sure my fries are salty enough

the drink has to be coke zero tho. the sugar free coke compensates for the weeks worth of saturated fat

is this too much food for one man for one meal? asking that question is fatphobic and problematic

either way I’m sure it’s just “plant based”, it’s difficult to imagine a fast food place managing to avoid meatamination

to your point though when i was a lot fatter id still get sugar free drinks. i don't think any fat person really thinks theyre saving any calories by doing it

lol of course not but drinking sugar free is like the simplest easiest option to reduce calories and also reduce the most toxic “normal” substance known to mankind

the idea that somehow artificial sweetener is worse than sugar is .. well it requires some special kinds of lead poisoning

there are many good eye lubes out there now including a new generation that don’t have preservatives (because preservatives are bad for eyeballs) because of newer bottle technology

none of them should require prescription

unless the problem requires more then just eye lube

no one is super sure what the problem is but it seems like I am probably sleeping with one eye open or grinding my eye into my pillow in my sleep

I have the good eye lube but it doesnt really help. Sometimes i'll use what amounts to vaseline for your eyes but i feel like its not a good long term solution.

the eye lubricant ointment you perhaps put in at night time is actually a great long term solution, except you have to keep doing it and makes vision blurry. but extremely safe and non irritating etc

graph posted:

its literally poison op

at least over here visine is a range of products, some have actives like xylometazoline while others don’t have actives. just curious if you know which one it is

eyeballs are like cameras in that bright light requires pupil constriction which is like having a small aperture which means more stuff is in focus but lack
of light requires dilation which means worse focus

I only need glasses at night, like driving or watching a movie. during the day I can survive

I love aviators but it took me a years to finally find the model of raybans that fit my face and I am happy with them

2016 and those bad boys are still timeless. unfortunately I lost them in the surf, and when i replaced them I didn’t pay attention to the frame colour and so my current ones are gold frame (is it a frame if they’re frameless?) which draws more attn to itself than I prefer but I will live

even saved the model number in my phone so I will never forget
