I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

Yes indeedy!

I was struggling too, since I thought it was him, but he wasn't listed on IMDb. I had to look up some 'episode 2 recap' article to get my answer.

Right? I’m so happy she didn’t end up just disappearing after Vice Principles.

I got a good laugh when she pulled her tit out for the hotel guy. Also her face when her man says "I came" was hilarious.

God of Boomin'

I wasn’t expecting to be as surprised by that run time as I was. Definitely wanting more.

The ending wasn’t a surprise but I’m semi surprised they pulled that trigger so soon. Any idea what the episode total is aiming to be? Vice Principals was a nice tight run and I’d love to see something similar.

You know you want it...
I think they're going for 8 or 10 episodes. McBride stated in an interview that this is his first open-ended show, so there's no set ending yet.

This show is great and I'm laughing out loud more than I do at most things on TV. The whole cast is amazing.

I think there's nine episodes in this season. I haven't heard anything about total episodes or seasons. Vice Principals was filmed all at once with a set number of episodes, but I don't believe that's the case for this show.

That's kinda strange. The Righteous Gemstones seems like anything BUT an open-ended show, I thought it was going to be the story of Danny McBride's character getting blackmailed and something something crime and wacky adventures, but it seems like it would end by defeating the blackmailers and going back to some sort of status quo.

Vice Principals, on the other hand, seemed like it would be more open-ended, and I was surprised to hear they'd planned a tight couple seasons for it. I would have imagined it as an open-ended sitcom for McBride and Walton Goggins to play off eachother against the backdrop of the school.

(I am also not convinced Vice Principals was planned out -- the person in the mask who shot Gamby was definitely not played by Edi Patterson.)

Maybe she wasn't available for when they filmed it, but the show was definitely all planned out. Both seasons were shot at the same time.

...it's a grim subject IRL but even 2 episodes in I'd trust this show to have a funny take on conversion therapy, especially since there's no way they wouldn't lampoon it

It wasn't planned. They're pretty open about beefing up that character's role when they realised just how funny they could be.

So is that Walton Goggin's real dick? Asking for a friend.

edit: This is a great episode. In typical Hill/McBride fashion, 2 people being run over is not the most hosed up thing to happen in this series.

I wonder if Aimee Leigh is for sure dead because for a non character she gets brought up all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if she faked her death and is living on an island with a bunch of money she stole.

It’s crazy because it seems to be getting great reviews as well.

Ever since GoT finished, HBO has been hitting it out of the loving park. Veep ended well, Chernobyl was brilliant, this is great, Succession is back and so on.

Yeah, Observe and Report is one of my favorite movies. It sucks that it came out the same time as Paul Blart because they both got lumped together as " Mall Cop movies".

For me, asking people to compare those two movies has been an accurate litmus test for taste for years now.
