My parents had this on vinyl but I wasn’t allowed to use the record player by myself so I had to buy it on cassette.

Aquarium is a great album.

While all my friends at school were into Britpop indie bands and whatever was popular, I was into some loving terrible techno. I think this was the first album I bought:

grade school moment: teacher lets someone from the class put a CD of their favorite music on the stereo while we do our work. but there's one rule: no swear words

so my friend puts on that prodigy record. the first song that plays: "OH MY GOD THAT'S SOME FUNKY poo poo!"

lmao edgy

anyways the teacher killed that on the spot. she was lovely though and one of my favorite teachers.

My mom asked the kitchen guys what they listened to so she could get me a few cd's with my sickass Panasonic boombox birthday present to be and I ended up with a Fine Young Cannibals cd, The Presidents of The United States of America's cd after the one with peaches, and Appetite for Destruction.

Pretty good overall.

A similar thing happened in my year 7 class, but we actually followed the no-swear-words rule, and put this on instead:
