This is probably a dumb question, but what's the process for getting tickets to the Open? I just moved up to the DC area, so I'm a lot closer to NYC and would love to see a couple of matches next year. Hell, are there any good tournaments in this area?

I bought third round tickets for Arthur Ashe stadium on Ticketmaster’s resale side last week Friday while in NYC on vacation. No idea how much markup there was from face unfortunately. I ended up getting to see Federer and Serena back to back. If I went to an earlier round again I’d probably just get grounds access tickets to explore the GA areas, and skip watching a superstar piss pound a nobody.

No lottery for tickets, I had no issues buying tickets a few months in advance. The first few days are fun, you can go court to court depending on who's playing.

Rafa has now played in arguably the greatest matches ever of all 4 Slams. 2008 Wimbledon Final, which is usually suggested as the best tennis match ever played period. 2013 FO SF against Novak. Last night's USO Final. His 2012 AO Final loss to Novak.
