She deserved better on Mythbusters. I mostly remember being pretty skeeved out when they did the Goldfinger/Tin Man 'you have to leave a gap for your skin to breathe' myth which meant putting her in a bikini and painting her silver. Though when it comes to skeevy science, the UK show 'Brainiac' probably took the award. They'd go from filling a pool with custard and explaining non-newtonian fluids letting you walk on top, and then having a different pool.filled with water when they'd test if naturally big boobs or implants were more buoyant with their hands.

Man, dogs are a mess. Whole sections of undocumented spaghetti code that's been kept around since the first iteration. Nobody knows what it does anymore, but if you take it out it causes problems. Meanwhile the code's become so bloated with patches and feature-creep that it just wheezes along until it overheats and shuts down.

Inceltown posted:When your website is a grift to pay your friends for doing basically nothing you want to bring in as much griftbux as possible. Add to that advertising revenue is not going to be high on a site that no one wants to be associated with so you can't offset it with that. Plus while social media doesn't care (And imgur is trying to be social media, so emulates them), a lot of webhosts don't want to be associated with them. GoDaddy for example doesn't host nazis (Though sometimes has to be told something is nazi before they'll do anything) so a smaller host could say "gently caress it, we'll bite that bullet. We're the host that hosts nazis, and we charge fifty times the going rate to do it."

On the one hand, tax on smokables brings the government a lot of money which can be spent on healthcare. On the other, smokers take up a large quantity of said healthcare with all the tar in them. And on the cancerous growth with fingernails so might be considered a hand, the government isn't spending that money on healthcare. Also, can't access the silly statue man story outside the US?

American healthcare being terrible I was willing to consider maybe he really was having trouble being weaned off benzos... Until he went for a treatment only available in Russia. Here in the UK, people desperate for an untested, unregulated or best-case 'newer but not actually more effective' solution fly to America. God only knows what Russia gave him.
