Honestly I'm more annoyed about them shoving Bob and Brainstorm straight into historic. Would have been nice for it to be it's own format instead of just dumping in must-buys from legacy and modern. Ugh not a fan of Brawl so far, seems to be like limited but all the cards are nonsense. Doesn't feel like a very satisfying game experience so far. Also is the pro play in Brawl/Commander to nuke your opponents commanders ASAP or their other creatures? Obviously dealing with the synergy of their commander seems good but ultimately they can replay it, so i'm not sure if there's ever much point?

The real problem is the pace of releases just making fitting an whole new set in a real pain. I suspect the drip feed will be the way forward unless there is a real lull in releases and they aren't using so much dev time on upgrading the game itself (friend lists etc.)

Enemy coloured/wedge coloured decks are going to be favoured over allied/shard coloured decks till presumably Theros 2 comes out Expect Sultai, Boros & Simic to be better choices than Esper or Bant for example Thinking of playing Bant ramp because so few cards rotate but losing llanowar elves, glacial fortress and sunpetal grove is making me hesitant. Tempted to try straight Simic ramp instead.

Bant ramp is still good in Standard 2020, basically the only changes are arboreal grazers for llanowar elves and adding some khans taplands instead of glacial fortress/sunpetal grove. Deputy of Detentioning multiple Cavalcades is the Good Stuff

The big problem with the Feather deck is that it's half creatures and half pump spells and the deck folds if it draws one without the other. You can win a lot of games against Feather by removing their one creature because they never end up drawing another one and sit with a Gird for Battle and 2 Defiant Strikes in hand.

Equally playing against it rewards holding up removal if they tap out to play a creature, I got burned last night playing mono-red when I chose to run out Viashino Pyromancer instead of holding up Shock which could have gotten a 10th District Legionnaire

I don't know if people here watch Vs Live but mono black aggro looks absolutely bonkers Also it's perfectly possible to play a 3 colour wedge deck since you can play 20 dual lands. Green is even better because of goose and paradise druid

Got mono red cavalcade going at the minute, will be drafting when that comes out and will probably diversify into some kind of UR Irencrag Pyromancer or simic ramp/flash deck I did just open a Doom Foretold but no way am I throwing wildcards at that just yet

Eldraine is a format where you really want to be deep in one colour so you can have an 11/6 or 10/7 manabase (or 11/7, there is a fair bit of talk of this being an 18 land format due to all the ways to use mana) so you can make use of the restrictive mana costs and adamant. You really want to avoid splashing and you don't want to have double colour pip cards in your off colour. Mana fixing is really scarce in this set, but the commons are pretty deep in essentially all colours so you shouldn't have trouble making playables.

It feels like the lack of decent aggro is allowing these multicolour piles since having lands come into play tapped isnt punished Also lol at the fact that while standard is ruined Eldraine might be the best limited set ever, except the bots are also completely jacked up for drafting it
