Yeah Day9 strikes me as the type of guy that drives slow in the left hand lane or stands in the middle of sidewalks. I loved watching him in the starcraft days because his positivity matched that games community but him in card games is unbearable.

Ya I've been having a good time in Standard 2020 not really running into anything super oppressive. Planeswalkers are just lovely and I hate pretty much all of them. We still have to deal with a ton of bullshit 3 drops until next year too

So basically do drafts, average at least a win in each draft, save all packs, pop them once the spreadsheet tells you to when it calculates that you have a good enough chance to fill out your collection. When you do it this way you also save on wildcards while building up gems. Guess drafting is useful afterall.

That fits so well with his story. Teferis one of my favorite characters in the MTG universe. Cool character arc from the Urza block through the Invasion cycle. His new planeswalker cards don't fit him since he was A) a blue mage that did more than just time stuff and B) wasn't even a planeswalker but was retconned his spark back and turned into a pure time bubble guy. Telling you all this post-mending stuff ain't no good, ain't no good at all!

Every sealed draft I do always starts the same. 6 rares, all poo poo, all perfectly spread out across 5 colors. It wouldn't hurt so bad if this loving draft type wasn't made to eat gems.

Planeswalkers either need to have a big payoff with a long cooldown when placed or a small payoff with a short cooldown when placed. That way the opponent is on a timer just like with a lot of enchantments or lingering threat cards. The problem with these latest planeswalkers is that a bunch of them have big payoffs with short cooldowns which makes them not really tempo punishments at all. I'd have no problem with three cost planeswalkers if they took a while to go off.

It's kind of absurd that 100% of calamity players always have a shock in their hand. I play plenty of decks that completely hinge on 1 of 4 cards being in my opening hand that I never get and somehow these players always jam it out no matter what
