Now I'm just thinking of that Royal Rumble where Yokozuna and the Headshrinkers met up, all kind of looked at each other, then the three of them did the Headshrinker taunt and teamed up

'93 had Samu get tossed after just a few minutes by Undertaker, and Fatu was gone by the time Yoko came in. Maybe it wasn't a Rumble, but just a random Battle Royale?

they did a lot of house show battle royals in the early to mid 90s. that thing could have happened at one of those, and maybe they even televised in some markets or something. or it's just one of those undocumented online things that slip through. cagematch isn't perfect

The Rock is not genetically related to the Anoa'i family. His grandfather, Peter Maivia was blood brothers (which I guess is considered a *very* strong bond in Samoan culture to the point of being considered blood family, but don't quote me on that) with Reverend Amituana'i Anoa'i, the father of Afa and Sika; grandfather of Yokozuna, Roman Reigns, Rosey, Umaga, and RIkishi; and great-grandfather of the Usos.

Was Mutoh billed as a face in the US ever? I have this vague fever dream type memory of him getting a face vignette as Super Black Ninja but that would have to be in WCCW and that's before Ninja Turtles set off the ninja craze for kids I think.

Where I live, if you call a Samoan a Tongan, and vice versa, you're asking for an asskicking.

PWG used to do DVDs where you could choose the audio track: with or with out commentary. Dunno if they still do that now or if it stopped when it stopped but there's bound to be some bangers.

Bad News Allen went to Vince and told him that Sapphire was a racist name to use so Vince changed it to Sweet Sapphire. Whether or not using a name from Amos and Andy was Vince trying to take another dig at Dusty or just his own brain being terrible and racist is up to the viewer to decide.

Little late on the themes talk, but Asuka's theme is pretty similar to a King Crimson riff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgcK6gtx9aw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SkaPAPzxyo A much more obvious ripoff is Jericho's WCW theme just blatantly being Evenflow, and it's not remotely subtle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gUNsskAEis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkbgtVFlyCQ And this is just WWE ripping themselves off, but Val Venis's theme was a rework of Rick Martel's Model theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKJmlMXPbm4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdSFkbrKfq4
