Really old skool stuff anything on the congo natty label is great, especially anything feat Top Cat, Beenie Man, rebel MC or Lion of Judah.

Newer stuff you should look into blackout and liondub, deekline and ed solo (sometimes called defkline and red polo), mutt and tedder and seriel killaz.

There are also a few one offs like dj farrapo's "Around an Old Blues" and Lack Jemmon's "Take it to the floor" where that artist doesn't usually do jungle/ drum and bass but the track is too good to pass up.

i caught it on MhZ in 2001 and loved it, but it wasn't around for too long, and of course there was no youtube. nobody else ever heard of it, so i was stoked to find the DVDs a few years later and spread the gospel. some of the episodes aren't great, but there are good moments in all of them, and "Box Cutta" and "Ill Master" are almost as amazing as "Funky Bottoms"

Also, they might have lost a bunch of money on the series, because the DVDs only have two episodes each and a fuckload of ads

I was 13 or 14 and joining a forum for the first time and thought to myself "i need something cool" so I came up with "FirePhoenix0". God it was awful but it's the name I had for years, and even joined here with it. I was 18 when I joined here and was already starting to dislike the name and had dropped the 0 by that point. Eventually I hated it enough that I wanted to change. I had "FP0" on xbox live because all other variants I could think of were taken and I liked that name, but never liked how FP0 looked visually and people would always call me "fuh-po" in games, so I just went with the current spelling I have now.

It's not an amazing name, especially by the incredible name standards I've seen on this site, but I'm too used to it by now and I do like it. It'd be too weird for me to participate in a name change thread because I'm so used to having this name.

At an old job there were 5 of us who had the same first name. In development. Out of about 30 developers. We went by E1 through E5, based on length of time at the company. You moved up in rank only by dead mans boots.
