Can someone point out what I'm missing about PRC because everyone is saying how crazy it is when it seems like the same function as projectile/special RC in older games?

Unlike YRC you can activate PRC during startup, active or recovery frames, special cancel out of it and drift around to boot.

(I don't think the special and dash RCs are being called Purple RCs). It's a subtle change to combine old YRC with the old (bad) PRC to make the new PRC, but that change combined with the quirks of the new system makes it seem like you'll get a lot of flexibility in neutral or pressure if you have meter to burn. If you think about it, XX had pretty limited windows to FRC compared to Xrd's YRC, and FRC/YRC are among the strongest tools in their respective games. I'm still not sure how BRC is supposed to be different from PRC. It's probably something subtle

So by "inputting dash before the RC" they mean basically being in the start of a dash. I thought they meant inputting a dash and then RCing before the animation started for some reason. I wonder how late in the dash you need to be? I'm guessing they used that wording to mean it has to be at the start of the dash.

That's how Sol can get Gunflame PRC drift WT.

Also that story mode tag feature makes me wish they would do a dedicated 3v3 DBFZ-style mode within the game since it would be a really fun addition to the IP, I think. They nailed it with DBFZ so it couldn't hurt to have it as an option given that Strive seeks a wider audience. A choice between 1v1 or 3v3 would be awesome. Highly unlikely to ever be added, I know, but I'd play the heck out of it.

Yeah, it really would be a lot of work but so incredibly fun. Maybe one day  I know they toyed with 2v2 with GG Isuka but we'll pretend that never happened. Switching between background & foreground as well as needing a dedicated button to turn around? That was such a weird game.
