When I saw season one I was astounded it was a product of that channel. The best stuff they�ve ever done up until then was Channel Zero and, gloss aside, those shows are powerfully mediocre unless you have the right kind of eyes to see them.

Also the last season was amazing house porn for a couple who lives now, and will probably forever live, in lovely overpriced apartments.

LTTP but both seasons of Happy are on Netflix, in the UK at least.

You're overthinking it. A goal in soccer is worth so much more than any individual action in most sports that its incredibly hard to model.

The closest thing the best teams have been able to assert is that having overwhelming possession is a pretty good sign you'll win.

Literally everything about the show is hilarious innacurate, especially Shelby shagging the connie lass who in real life was dead before he was born

i disagree with some of the assertions, i don't think media has become somehow less horny. the marvel movies are offered as an example of this supposed sexlessness but they're a) for children and b) still horny. but the idea that media now cuts out basically anyone who isn't impossibly beautiful is very relevant. it's a trip to go back and watch old media where most of the actors, especially in secondary roles, just look like normal folks

Theres a very striking difference between US and UK tv shows where the UK is far more willing to have less attractive people who can act their rear end off.

I recently sat through the boys and then the newer live action tick basically back to back and it's two rather different takes on superheros. the big difference is arthur is actually cool and good while hughie just sucks constantly

Thing is, even in the comics, it's never clear if Frenchie is actually French at all, speaks the language, or if he's just absolutely off his rocker, so it fits.
