I know Carrie Fisher sat down with Daisey Ridley and told her that people were going to be super lovely to her about her looks, I get the feeling that all three of the main actors got at least one talk from one of the original trilogy actors telling them not to take the series seriously and just take the paychecks. John Boyega is giving zero fucks about pissing off the fans, and Oscar Isaacs outright said he has no interest in reprising his role.

Probably they got the talk from Harrison Ford, he wanted out of that series since 1980.

Hopefully they'll all go the Daniel Radcliffe route of "gently caress it, I can live the rest of my life off the checks from these big movies" and do whatever weird small movies they want for the rest of their careers rather than chasing the next big role.

Controversial opinion but imo the best fight scene in all the John Wicks is the one in the castle in Morocco in John Wick 3 because it has Halle Berry's dogs in it doing cool stunts. Nightclub scene in John Wick 1 is a close second, followed by Knife Throwing Scene also from 3.

it's hard to say because ILM was also pretty essential to pulling off Star Wars and coming up with the whole aesthetic of the films, from the mashed together battleship model kits (which plenty of scifi series did before, to be fair) to the various sound effects from lightsabers, to alien grunts, to laser blasts just reeling people in. and now that I think about it, jim henson's indirect contribution mattered a ton in making the weird rear end aliens interesting and relatable.

I read a reprint of fight club where Palahniuk wrote a new forward where he talks about the time he was on a haunted hay ride with his family for Halloween and the guide opens up with an intro that is based on the Fight Club Rules and later he mentioned to the guy that he wrote the book that came from (because of course he would say that) and the guy was like "There's a book?"

Edit: for those that need short movies might I suggest cocomelon or pinkfong on YouTube. Lots of independent short movies you can enjoy.
