If it's wrapped in lettuce instead of on a bun it's not a burger. It's not even a sandwich. Not even in a world where a taco and a hotdog are both sandwiches.

If carbs are an issue, don't ruin the burger by wrapping it in lettuce that will just get hot and soggy. Have it double down style, make the patties the buns.

They're okay in a pinch. I ate them a lot last year when I was first transitioning to a low carb diet. I'm trying to limit my intake of red meat now as well. Not going to ever cut it out completely as I love it too much, but if I bring it down to like twice a month I think I can live with myself. Cause of that, burgers gotta go, especially bunless ones.

Lettuce burgers suck, but larb is delicious and is fundamentally the same idea (ground meat in lettuce) but it actually tastes good.
