Does anyone have fuboTV and like it? It appears to be a streaming service with a lot of focus on sports, and also seems like the only streaming service that offers MSG, but gently caress me it's $55/month and I only need this for hockey. Another alternative I've been considering is NHL.tv + VPN, has anyone had success with that (I already use ProtonVPN)? I'd prefer not to use pirated streams this year.

ATTTVNOW has MSG but unless you're on a grandfathered package I can't recommend it. I've heard great things about Fubo and it looks like it has the MSG overflow which ATTTVN doesn't have.

The only reason I ya e it is the cell phone discount, 5$ HBO, and grandfathered pricing.

So yeah that's the Leafs paying a penalty for Marner having a career year last year but maybe they win the Cup this year that would be cool.

The next Leafs players to hit RFA are probably going to get absolutely hosed with the Leafs front office trying to reestablish their negotiating power.

So during the last off-season before Nylander signed I assumed the Leafs would be able to lock up the three for ~$23-24M. They’re currently coming in at around $29.5M which is.... spicy.

Matthews and Marner did have great seasons which hurts the bottom line, but they’re gonna have to live with a replacement-level player or two more than they probably should for the foreseeable future.

Legitimate question: if he can’t afford to pay a $900,000 gambling debt and routinely gives up draft picks to avoid paying ~$2mil signing bonuses, how the gently caress does this man still own a team?

It's really not. Dubas has lost out on nearly every contract negotiation he's been involved in.

Marner is great but I don't believe that he should be valued like a top 10 skater league wide.

I don't know why any fans go to Sens games. They should be getting like 03-4 or worse Penguins attendance numbers.

I don't really agree on that front. It's going to be tight for a year or two, but the new TV deal should push the cap up and it'll be fine. The Nylander deal is going to look fantastic.

I would be shocked if Rantanen and Point end up signing for as much as Marner did. Tkachuk will probably get under 10M too.

I took in a bit of Canucks camp today, and lord was Virtanen chunkin' it out there during the bag skate. I want to shotgun many beers this season, but it looks like he's been shotgunning a few of his own this offseason. At least he seemed to be in high spirits out there despite being in the scrub group...

There are still plenty of better targets available for offer sheets. If the few competitive teams with enough cap space to make them aren't cowards, then it's probably just that RFAs haven't been accepting the offers (or were waiting for the first big name winger to sign).

Marner owns, but $33mil for 3 forwards is wild, add in Nylanders $6.9 and forward depth could be a problem going forward
