This is an odd case, at least in Canada when a women finds out she’s pregnant then you’re assigned your doctor who may or may not deliver your baby but help you through the pregnancy, you’re assigned your first ultrasound, basically you’re put into the system and will be followed up on Is it different in the US? Her gynaecologist found out she was pregnant then nobody followed up on it till she way later and the gynaecologist asked what happened to the baby

Also i think this whole story wad already in an epsidode of SVU As I recall, they couldn't prove the baby ever drew breath so she got away with it. Akso stabler was conflicted and cstholic but this didn't stop him from roughing some people up

Then what was her plan?

She found out like a week before delivering the baby prematurely that she was even pregnant. What long term gynecological care was she to be delivered here She didn't want to acknowledge that she could have been pregnant and didn't know she was. Ideally everyone should be given full access to 110% of every aspect of care that saves every single life possible including this child and the mental health care that so clearly would have helped this prospective mother. Do you know if she was offered treatment and refused? If someone in your ideal treatment plan refused treatment because of mental illness or personal choice, what is your solution to this dilemma? my 2 cents: this was a sad stupid tragedy that shouldn't have become international news you don't maliciously have a preterm birth. even supposing the worst, that it was born unexpectedly, premature but viable, and she killed it out of neglect or panic, why the gently caress would a guilty person, after hours of interrogation, over-admit to a crime? why would she confess to burning the body if it hadn't actually been burned? I'm just not seeing a scenario where she's a criminal mastermind or even just a particularly lucky and psychopathic moron her story, where the baby came much sooner than expected, and she cradled it for hours waiting for it to move or breathe before accepting that it was dead, and burying it just because she didn't know what else to do, is a stupid thing to do, but a completely believable reaction for a shellshocked, provincial teenager suddenly confronted with, like, the most traumatic possible outcome to a problem she'd been avoiding and thought she would have another 8 1/2 weeks to come to grips with it just seems way more likely that she didn't know what was happening until it was too late to fix, her doctor misread the signs and gave her bad information, and something terrible and tragic happened, but there was nothing that could be done at that point and she just made a stupid mistake trying to deal with it by herself. she buried it where she could see it from her bedroom window and marked the grave with a flower. she didn't throw it in the trash like it was a problem she needed to hide, she gave it a burial. when she clearly thought she could keep it a secret, no eyes on her, just her the dead body and the lord, she, to the best of her ability, gave it a burial like it was a person worthy of honor and respect. that's how a person with so little regard for it that she killed it just so she wouldn't have to deal with it would act? if anything she's a victim of ohio's poo poo rear end sex education, and ohio's poo poo rear end law enforcement rushing to judgement and coercing a false confession, and tabloid vultures and moral crusaders rushing to center themselves and manufacture a villain in somebody else's tragedy it would be traumatic enough by itself, but for the rest of her life she's going to have people who somehow think they're doing a good thing telling her what a terrible person she is. she doesn't need jailtime, she needs peace and understanding and to get the hell out of ohio. the idea that it needs to be any worse for her than it is is vindictive Cubone fucked around with this message at 20:14 on Sep 14, 2019 |
