They brought back fuckign Shadow Pokemon. Of course they'll bring Megas so they can get people to do stuff for another two months. Plus, unless they dripfeed one pokemon at a time next gen, there just ain't enough pokemon to go for a year.

Megas were ultimately a mistake, but I'll take their designs in Go and I appreciate them far more than Dyna or Gigamaxing. Regionals, tho? Regionals are flawless and I hope we get the Galarian ones this year.

Put that Pansear Paw back where it was, the Girantina-A raids end on October 17, so there'll be a different pokemon in time for Halloween. However, hoping for something better may be foolish.

We got about 10 raids and I caught 5, including a shiny. It was a pretty good time. I hadn't set my Go-tcha to autocatch, so i didn't get to burn my 230 pokeballs and instead wound up at 611/500 items.

Just did a Regigigas raid that lead straight into the Heatrain hour. Was fun, went for lunch with the girlfriend first and messed around downtown. Short raid train of 3 raids since it was cold as balls out. Phone died before the third one and i'll need my girlfriend to trade me one of her Heatrans. My Go-tcha Evolve thing was earning its money, tho, easy to resync the one time in the middle of my time using it, caught like 80 pokemon out of who knows how many it tired and I ended up at 557/550 (from doing a raid before having to immediately stop) good times

A few things raise some eyebrows, but they are explicitly testing it out in this "preseason", with changes coming depending on feedback and behaviors. One of the things is that you need to walk 5km to battle 5 times. But you can spend money to shorten the distance.... But also you have to walk at least 2km there's no paying to skip the walking, so at least it's not completely whaleing. After what the main pokemon games announce today, this looks fine even.
