Wouldn't wish covid on any team but why did it have to be the exciting one?

Throwing all my hope for this weekend in the Burns to somehow lead Ireland to victory over England basket but in my heart I know we'll get stuffed.

Is there some sort of system in the IRFU where Ulster are never allowed to start?

I've seen some salty takes on this, just hoping the guys on the bench do a job when they get the chance. Can't excuse Stockdale's form recently but it's a bit jarring hearing that Gibson Park is being picked on form after Cooney put together two 5* seasons in the same position and got like 3 sub appearances to show for it.

I'm not really sure how to feel about this comp though, I'd rather see some experimentation than trot out the same old players to try to win it.

Aww no :( Dominici was absolutely carving up the 6N when I first got into rugby, he really epitomised that French magic and I'll always remember him turning people inside out in the pink of Stade Francais. That's a real downer.

England looking like Schmidt Ireland, once plan A doesn't work they're lost. France have played very well though, their defence has been outstanding and they're not afraid to run the ball.

Pretty funny that a totally meaningless competition is going to extra time, only way it could be better was if it went to a shootout

That's Exeter's defence of the title cut short then eh?

It's a strange new format but hard to see them scraping in if they give Toulouse the 28-0

It overtook the Mauro Bergamasco at 9 match as the most entertaining Italy game, particularly enjoyed the referee just stonewalling the England players when they tried asking him what a ruck was.

So it's the pro14 with two groups of 8?

Confusing.

Yeah, I spent a while earlier wondering how they added 4 new teams but still split into two groups of 8 Cheetahs and Kings were binned

Look forward to the conferences being announced though, hopefully we get some tasty matchups to go alongside the likes of Lions vs Zebre, which will go about as well on the pitch as it would on the savanna.

Marcel Coetzee will be signing with the Bulls at the end of the 20/21 season probably the first end to the season, so before the Rainbow Cup.. I think?

Pro14 defences can rest easy, was great watching him in White, but I can't blame him if he goes home and makes the Boks team for the Lions tour.

Great win for Bristol, was close to a full strength team for Exeter too.

Ulster caught their first loss of the season against Leinster yesterday, and with no semi finals this year that could be their season over. Pro14 is such an odd league, hopefully the Rainbow Cup is a bit of craic, but who would bet on it going ahead now with the covid situation in SA and across the UK and Ireland.
