Despite being the same element and class, they do very different things. Iseria's a single target nuker/cd reduction and def break bot; Silk is an aoe dps and team buffer.

Iseria's the more useful of the two at endgame by an extremely large margin, but Silk might be more useful to you still for a while yet.

I had to use all 605 of my bookmarks to get Iseria. That's what I get for posting about not having to use many for previous banners. On the bright side, I did manage to pick up Crimson Armin from the resulting gold stones, so that's something I guess.

I do think I'm lacking aoe right now, I'm running Mistychain for damage and offheals, Ravi as a drain tank and Violet as another dps with the 4th slot being Silk or Iseria. Could probably stand to replace Mistychain with a dedicated healer later in the game but for now she's able to keep everyone up fairly well.

What in the world. A 6* Seaside Bellona just soloed my entire team in PvP, consisting of 6* A. Mont and Vildred, 5* Axe God and Vivian. Her opening move instantly killed two Vildred and Axe God. Uhhh, is that normal? What the hell?

Oh, not complaining about the skin at all. The skin costs exactly the same 900 extra crystals over the pass as it did before.

I don't mind them charging $$$ for skins as I've mentioned in the discord. As long as it doesn't have stats, cosmetics is a great way for games to be funded. PoE and LoL are two good examples.

Nerfing the pass's rewards though, that's just dumb. We're gonna be in for another roller coaster of 'oops we're sorry, here's some free poo poo' then they'll make more dumb decisions.

A high crit damage geared unit can absolutely murder a team if they don't have enough HPs. It's rare to see a green unit outright die to a blue unit though. Was there a defense break on him? Did she have an attack buff?

Nope. The whole team was a 6* Seaside Bellona, that's all. She moved first, killed two of them, then killed the remaining two in the following couple of turns. Nothing I could do.

I had the same thing starting with Iseria and pulled Bellona. Like Dog said, it's not as much of a letdown as it first seems. Silk slows the enemy and speeds your guys up and Iseria can capitalize on those extra turns to cycle folks' skills even more and keep the enemy debuffed. Armor break and buff immunity are REALLY useful, the sorts of debuffs that can crack a tough boss's mechanic wide open (though some self-dispell before buffing).

It stings when you're just starting and have obvious gaps in your team, though, I know that feeling. For AoE take a look at Lena, she's a 3* but has a useful (if limited) AoE skillset. For a lot of the story mode stuff (until around area 10 or the second continent) she can team up with someone else and a friend unit to easily walk through battles escorting a couple of fodder. Trying to solo she was too fragile for me, but once I put a unit in front to take hits (Mistychain's off-heals might work well to keep them up, I never played around with her) if I tapped someone in the first wave enough for Exposed to kill them Lena would just sweep everything afterward. Unless they were green or once she started falling behind in later chapters, but she was really useful in the beginning.

I think the problem is that they're way more generous than most gachas, and they're trying to find other ways to get their money. It's not like a lot of these games where whales will drop $1000 on every banner. Nerfing the epic pass while the community is pissed at them and lots of other games are giving away a ton of stuff for Christmas is pretty ballsy/stupid, though.

Any unit with 4000+ attack and 280%+ crit damage will pretty much erase any non tanking unit, especially without defensive artifacts.

Usually such units relly on CR pushers to operate as they have to sacrifice speed to output such damage.

How fast is your team?

It's more that this comes on the heels of a variety of really bad decisions over the last few months. Have to have limited currency for autobattle pets (which I ran out of), much anticipated world boss that's just a skippable cutscene, and first iteration of equipment conversion that was total garbage. Now add nerfed event and epic pass and people are understandably pissed. They also haven't delivered on new content like the rest of hell raid or finishing Nixied's sanctum.

You will come to realize in Arena especially later on that your gear is just poo poo, just absolute dogshit, compared to people who have been playing for months / over a year. Don't worry about it, the grind to get better gear is the entire game pretty much, so it'll take a while before this stops happening. PVP isn't split up by gear so there will always be people sitting in the dumpster ratings who outgear you by far.

Yeah, I have half-decent gear and I got completely steamrolled by someone's solo BBK. My Luna outsped her by a hair, dropped her to like 40% with her ult, and then BBK was like "you are already dead" and cleaved my entire team in half.

I did pull a Lena last night right after Iseria, I'll level her up over the weekend and get a feel for her. I'm just starting the second continent and getting kinda close to being able to make my first 6* and am stuck between using it on my 3 main characters (Ravi, Violet or Misty) but maybe I'll hold off and see how Iseria feels. thanks for the input!

The worst thing you could do is fail to kill a BBK.
Her stat buff based on lost health is ridiculously good.

I’ve had my BBK brought to a sliver of health, fully Dizzy debuffed , and watched the entire enemy team melt on the S3.

Yeah, I didn't expect her to be able to take 11k damage on the chin and clap back. Plus since she was solo, not many other targets for me to put a Luna ult into. :v:

You need either Lilibet or Specimen Sez to safely kill A.Vildreds (and any other unit with an auto-rez). Or a unit that gets a forced extra turn like BBK or Baiken, though Baiken would have a lot of problems killing him from full since he'll not have bleeds anymore.

I'm hoping we see more Eradication characters. Auto/Revive is rare, but it's crazy powerful.

The Moon Monster

Arbiter Vildred is just ridiculous. Even if you have Lilibet or Spez there's like a 60% chance he's wearing moonlight dreamblade so it's RNG whether you kill him or not anyway. I do have other means to deal with him, but it's just such a pain in the rear end that he's really killed my desire to try to climb higher in PvP after getting to 4200 and seeing him become almost ubiquitous. Seaside Bellona also sucks big time and she's even more common. At least I can use fire units against angry vildred.

Yeah, that's what I was alluding to with the "community is pissed at them" statement. I pretty much agree with most of the complaints, not trying to defend them here. I feel like if they just got rid of the bookmarks from the epic pass and left the rest of the rewards alone the response would be much tamer. Stuff like nerfing the gold reward from 600k to 300k is such chump change it's weird that they even did it, it just feels like adding insult to injury.

I don’t think a stunned unit can evade. Of course evade can stop the stun, but then you don’t go for the S3. I only have been using Spez, Lilibet is way down my priority list atm.

And yeah, SSBellona can be murder.

Hello, fellow C. Merc haver!

Yes, she's definitely worth 5 or even 6 starring. Her kit is surprisingly useful in both boss fights and PVP. The S2 in particular is noteworthy because it scales off enemy max HP, which in later content equals absurdly large amounts of damage. Her S3 is a good CR boost if there are multiple enemies, which lets the S2 finish them off. The S1 is nothing to write home about, but it does inflict unhealable, which has its uses. Just note that if you're going to use her, she's slow, so you'll probably either want a good deal of speed gear, or run her in a CR pushing lineup.

Added fun bonus! You can get her to SSS without getting more copies of her. Go do the cracks in the world and use the world fragments on her. She gets crit imprint.
