It would be kind of weird for it to be the start of the season and not have them advertise it as such though. I still could really see them being willing to wait until spring to actually run a new season and pair it up with one of the reboot animation series.

It would also keep them from feeling like they need to do an election episode. Those haven't really gone that well except maybe the vote or die one...
