Haig was an American actor, producer and musician, starring in several horror movies over the course of his decades-long career, including "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects." "On Saturday, September 21, 2019, my light, my heart, my true love, my King, the other half of my soul, Sidney, passed from this realm on to the next," his wife, Susan L. Oberg, wrote in an Instagram post. "He has returned to the Universe, a shining star in her heavens. He was my angel, my husband, my best friend and always will be. He adored his family, his friends and his fans. This came as a shock to all of us. We, as a family, are asking that our privacy and time to mourn be respected."

RIP. Dude was so prolific he almost makes Samuel L Jackson look lazy. Sid Haig was awesome, and I'm going to miss him and his work. You don't see real ugly mofos who look like a real street hood, or a degenerate piece of trash anymore, and it takes a lot away from the movie you're watching. One of the reasons movies suck so much today is that everyone looks like a model. Even the monsters in most movies are played by pretty people with makeup on. Sid was great at what he did and he looked real to the parts he was playing.

Off the top of my head most of the guys are dead or retired. Cinema and TV used to be full of these guys and now it seems like they are all gone. Guys like Alfonso Bedoya, Warren Oats, Claude Akins, Telly Savalas, Jack Elam. Just seems like everyone in entertainment now looks soft, and pretty.
