It doesn't cast the next spell, it just acts like a 10 mana do-nothing spell.

Concentrated spells also has a hidden damage boost to all your spells of, according to the wiki, +13 (and a hidden cast delay penalty). That's why it's so good with shotguns

New synergy I discovered: Pollen projectiles get hit by spells. With a piercing shot trigger, you can fire through pollen instead of an enemy to make the trigger go off every frame it's touching pollen. If you put pollen in the trigger payload, it will create a self-sustaining chain reaction until the trigger hits a wall https://i.imgur.com/qlICbzz.mp4

The only thing in there is a health up and a full heal. It's basically an extra heal for when you come back up from the bottom
