Regy Rusty posted:Part of it is meta knowledge about story conventions - they've reminded us of the Michael bot twice. And then he goes offscreen onto the train and returns acting in a way that might be a bit off. Michael trying to do a human thing then getting sad about it not being noticed is a pretty Michael thing to do. But yeah, something fishy about that scene.

BioEnchanted posted:I still love the adorable scene in the end-of-the-experiment bash in season 2 where they get Michael the "Honorary Human Giftbox" Just his excitement at these total garbage items is cute as hell. "Aww, a stressball with a dumb corporate logo on it... so I can find it every now and again, go to throw it away then go 'no... i'll use it.' Thank you all" Smell ya later?

I think I got it. It’s not about what the Bad Place did on the train, but what Michael and Janet did. I bet they turned Chris or swapped him with a Janet-Baby for reasons.

This whole 'remake the experiment' thing still doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The original experiment was sticking two deluded people and two people who know they're frauds together and watch them without interfering with the intent that the torture each other, but they accidentally improve each other instead. Everyone in the new system believes they earned their place there, so there's no reason for them to 'fake it till they make it'. I guess Brent is kinda doing it the opposite way, but the other 3 are just kinda sitting there enjoying it. And Jason is there doing his Jason stuff kinda...

Taear posted:Banners are different for different people depending on what they think you'll like. Ok, I've ask several real life friends about this. Did you get the spoilery image BEFORE you had seen the spoiler? I've seen other shows show spoilery stuff (Good Place, Umbrella Academy, Bojack Horseman) in their banners but only after I had watched them. I'm curious if Netflix changes it up based on how much you have watched.

Was the joke that Michael's neighborhood already had a flying dog? Being kicked into the sun counts as flying, right?

My Afterdeath guessing: Many Jeremy Bearamys take place between these events. Jason goes first, getting bored with every small vehicle/animal combination. Tahani's family gets to the Good Place, they bond/make amends and go on together. Chidi becomes satisfied with his version of The Answer and decides to move on. Eleanor give a big crying speech to him that TOTALLY DOES NOT MAKE ME CRY but then Michael gives another speech that helps her feel a little better and I also DO NOT CRY AT THIS! Eleanor and Michael reach a stage where they're ready to go, leaving Janet behind to run the Good Place on her own. Alternatively, Janet reboots every Janet a bajillion times. and moves on with Jason. Thank you for reading my fan fiction.
