The Worlds looked horrific, but I will definitely go watch in person next time there’s something in Yorkshire. Though maybe they should stick to early summer. Is there a more general cycling thread somewhere in the forums?

There's literally no indication as to which way to go on a roundabout and everyone follows the camera bike, which goes the path of least resistance and pulls out of the race about a minute after that, and everyone's like "WELP"

Not mentioned in that article but similarly well organised is that shortly after that fuckup they managed to block the road in front of Sanchez forcing him to bunny hop over a traffic island

under 29k to go at Il Lombardia. We’ve looked at all the speedboats and now it’s time to race. Woods and Roglic look good. Bernal is hiding still and uhhh Pierre Latour... paddyboat fucked around with this message at 15:11 on Oct 12, 2019 |

https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tour-de-france-2020-route-revealed/ The ASO have gone all in on Pinot for next years tour route. No Ventoux or Alp d'huez either, and a mountain time trial to finish.

I think he's too big for it, but I'll be so mad if Simmons decides to do the stereotypical American thing and inadvisably try to become a GC rider.

Feels Villeneuve posted:the stereotypical American thing and inadvisably try to become a GC rider. Lance Armstrong's biggest crime IMO was "transitioning" into a GC rider rather than just continuing to win cool one-day races a la his 1993 worlds. Cycling in the USA probably would be smaller, but immensly cooler.

Arkea Samsic have missed out on the World tour spot, which has gone to Cofidis. So unlikely to see Quintana at 2 of the 3 grand tours. lol.

I was gonna say "Nairo being a PCT faillord and Nacer being a WT faillord, count me in" but it turns out that Bouhanni will transfer away from Cofidis to Arkea Samsic next year. So I guess I can still say that, it's just that they both are on the team where dreams go to die

You have to think Arkea expected to be the next World Tour team with signing those 2. Bintana indeed.

Almost 100% sure they just had a guy look up 'planimetria' in an Italian->English dictionary. I'm assuming it's a common word in Italian, but its English cognate absolutely isn't. I see this all the time teaching ESL students.
