I dunno man, British Cycling loving up at administrating and handing a lengthy ban to a pro cyclist for something that didn't even happen on the road is pretty on topic for a pro cycling thread

YOU RESENT?

The Worlds looked horrific, but I will definitely go watch in person next time there’s something in Yorkshire. Though maybe they should stick to early summer.

Is there a more general cycling thread somewhere in the forums?

General cycling threads are in YLLS, everything from maintenance to random stuff right up to competitive races.

There's the annual Tour de Yorkshire (yes, that's literally its name) in early May, in case you're not aware.

I just watched the final 15 km and lmao at the whole thing. There's literally no indication as to which way to go on a roundabout and everyone follows the camera bike, which goes the path of least resistance and pulls out of the race about a minute after that, and everyone's like "WELP"

Not mentioned in that article but similarly well organised is that shortly after that fuckup they managed to block the road in front of Sanchez forcing him to bunny hop over a traffic island

it kicked rear end, watching the riders from the helicopter shot, and suddenly seeing a suspicious number of parked cars on the road until the riders were like "hey wait a minute"

Woods and Roglic look good. Bernal is hiding still

I think he's too big for it, but I'll be so mad if Simmons decides to do the stereotypical American thing and inadvisably try to become a GC rider.

Lance Armstrong's biggest crime IMO was "transitioning" into a GC rider rather than just continuing to win cool one-day races a la his 1993 worlds. Cycling in the USA probably would be smaller, but immensly cooler.

Basically this. Almost 100% sure they just had a guy look up 'planimetria' in an Italian->English dictionary. I'm assuming it's a common word in Italian, but its English cognate absolutely isn't.

I see this all the time teaching ESL students.
