I think at the way this is heading out Roglic will survive on like 10 seconds or so. Carapaz should have gone earlier for sure.

If Carapaz does this, Roglic will need therapy.

Roglic gonna win the vuelta because of the bonus seconds yesterday.

If Carapaz had these legs why didn't he go earlier? Roglic has broken. It's going to be tight
|
# ? Nov 7, 2020 17:07 |

He hasn't looked like having these sort of legs all tour. The explosion just hasn't been there.

Should have gone 2km earlier.

Roglic looked uncomfortable but didn't lose any time after the first couple of minutes of that attack

I’m quite glad, watching the end of the Tour was kind of awful and I would have hated to see it happen again. Also moaning about Carlton Kirby is passé but god that whole last 10 minutes was just awful. Incomprehensible shite.

What's people's feelings on bonus seconds?

Eh, I don't mind them. I don't know if I would have them on every stage.

Dowsett is the one I expect to get picked up by a team for his ability to pull a sprint train more than anything else.

Tao should pretty easily get a contract from someone, even if it's only to super-dom someone else about the mountains at the tour. Tanfield was... at the Vuelta. DNF'd. AG2R didn't exactly set the race on fire so it's hard to say much about that. I think he did a breakaway one day? I remember Kirby being very excited. He might find a place. Williams, also DNF at the Vuelta, Wout Pouls almost did something on a few days and got his 6th place, but I don't remember Williams doing anything of note. Cav could/should be done. I can't see anyone taking him on as the number 1, serious business, lead sprinter in the team, and I don't know if he'd accept being the second option at the minor races. The others... eh, good luck to them.

Tanfield did a good ITT (21st overall), which is what Carlton was excited about. He's also only 25, and has the KOM on my local "rolling" TT E33/10, so obviously a good chap to have on hand. Cav, I think, has decided he's just happy to be there so while he won't win anything might be worth a punt if you want an experienced head

Would fit with Ineos hiring lots of the GB team. They've got money to burn.

If they did I would not expect him to be riding any grand tour. He would be a promotional tool for taking around the one day races, maybe a few short stage races, and making statements that get him mentioned in the media. All the races they don't normally ride for, some of the press distraction they want.
