So the big question now is: Is it a benefit to have a bike that's fresh oil on the chain?

a little more than that in the end, right?

as to the possible benefit, idk how much the power savings matter with only 30 km left but it must feel so good once you get back your rhythm (getting off has got to suck though)

Might it matter that Colbrelli is Italian, where you can't compete professionally with one in? The same went for Eriksen and he left Italy, but Colbrelli might be more inclined to adhere to Italian law?

There could also be a difference in the danger you pose to your fellow athletes when competing with an ICD in, i.e. you pose no risk in football whereas if it goes off (does an ICD go off?) in the peloton, it's a significant danger to other riders. (NB: this latter argument is one I'm rehashing from a podcast I heard the other day, please correct me if this is extremely unlikely or nonsense etc)

It depends a bit on the region, but i would say that on the whole cycling is definitely the number 2 sport in the netherlands. Maybe this is land hockey erasure but that's okay.

yeah, you're right. barring the Olympics it's either skating or cycling to come second and those are seasonal

All that effort to pull Roglic back, and he just falls off.

it might still be enough to allow rog to be a strategic threat to be used against pog in later stages, depending on how today turns out

that said, roglic has only showed a couple of flashes of quality this tour, even before his fall
