Just watched Ineos race up Alpe du Zwift. Gimmicky? Yes. Not as good as the real thing? Of course not. Somewhat entertaining? You bet.

The production was pretty bad - putting the live stream of the rider the same size as the zwift screen, meaning that most of the screen has a static background? Not great.

I subscribe - and will continue to subscribe - to Eurosport. £20 a year (with frequent offers), other sports, and also works in-browser.

NB: Eurosport own GCN so I imagine the end result will be pretty similar either way if you're only after cycling.

Yeah cycling has very clearly proven that you do not, under any circumstance, want to find out whether everyone in your sport is doping. The only way this happens to another sport is when people are dumb enough to get caught by regular law enforcement. And even then, football is way too big for that. During Operacion Puerto, there were several football clubs on the customer list of Fuentes. He had training data for Barça, Madrid and Valencia laying around. Absolutely nothing happened.

Multiple footballers have dropped dead due to heart conditions, if that doesn't change things I doubt anything will from inside the game.

Wow, as a team Jumbo completely hosed that up. Biggest team cock-up I've ever witnessed in my lifetime, that's for sure. I thought Jumbo needed to use their strengths way more tactically and aggressively than what they showed us. Pogz was without any teammates around him for a majority of this race. Even if we grant that Pogz is absolutely doped up to the loving gills, the amount of riders Jumbo had up front day after day should have been able to attack up the road and put him under way more pressure. Maybe Pogz could have covered every single attack, but Jumbo simply didn't try

If they had big Tom D still up there in the GC - which they would have done if they didn't gently caress up early - they would have got yellow for sure, even if it was a Bernal "whoops our back up guy got it" situation.
