Finally was able to catch up and watch the last 6 seasons. Just finished season 14 and that ending was good, but what elevated it anther level was the music choice. Jesus that was good.

They're just dense with incidental lore this season. So now we know all the historical gods the boys have killed were basically made from the days when capital g God didn't want to be blamed for anything. What a bonkers show.

I’ve been going through Supernatural for the first time ever since March and I’ve been really enjoying the ride but I just got to the Season 6 episode where J2 get transported to our universe where Supernatural is a TV show and it was so great that I’m scared to continue because I’m worried it can’t possibly be anything but a letdown from here on out.

Good instincts. You are headed into the mid-series slump. The "oh for fucks sake stop keeping secrets from each other that's 90% of your problems!!!" years. But every season has a few really good episodes, and the whole thing picks up again eventually.

There was a 5 year plan. Every season after that is written not knowing if it will get renewed for another season, so it doesn't have that sense of building toward something. Also the Frankensteins were a lame rear end season villain. That was the low point for me.

I think my favorite meta joke in the real world episode is when Dean is freaking out asking why anyone would want to watch their lives and Sam responds like “Well apparently not many people do.” But it does beg the question why they’re surprised at the popularity of the tv show when in their own universe they’re already well aware of the cult following for the Supernatural Book Series by the Prophet Chuck.

Quite a few CW shows have added the newest seasons to netflix, so there's a strong chance the episodes from the first part season 15 will be up soon.

We hired some folks to make an intro to our SPN podcast and it turned into an entire thing and then I made a video for it, so now I can check "made a Supernatural AMV" on my resume I guess. We've only just started S12, so there aren't any spoilers past S12E01.
