This is about the most compelling (more like cumpelling HEH) 'sex game' simply because of what it is. As far as I can tell it's some movement and animation systems tied to everything DAZ3D which is already used to manufacture 3D porn. Mix in a modding community and you have a healthy ecosystem of people sharing all sorts of kinks.

It's kinda like BeamNG in that it's less a game and more like a physics toybox. Just instead of softbody vehicles smashing into walls and each other it's soft body boobies bouncing into walls and each other.

The walking dead is loving intense. I made it to the first church bell, then realized I should have practiced reloading the shotgun / revolver before I needed them. You don't want to figure that out while zombies are at your face.
I wish there was a way to get my shiv's and screwdrivers and such without having to gingerly cycle through a menu on the backpack. Unless there's a shortcut to those items im missing?

Yeah, I wouldn't classify it as jump scares at all, you can generally hear them before you see them if you're being careful.

I got the whole 'smash knife in head, go further, pull away with both hands' technique down and it feels real gud

I think?! I've only been to two locations, but you seem to have a base location, and then only when the sun is out you can depart on a raft to other cities. But you're limited by about 20-30 in-game minutes (it felt like anyway) until the horde comes down on you.

Edit-Just to clarify I am loving the game. Maybe I'll burn out of the mechanic by the end but right now the looting and killing feels so loving good :jackbud:

I keep getting my rear end handed to me trying to get to the tower in walking dead. ai humans are good shots.

I just noticed there's a loving House of the Dead VR game in the Oculus store?! Last time I bought this game it was on Wii and the motion controller made it so loving great. I guess I have to get it.

God dammit I hosed up the first 4 or so days in Walking Dead so now I'm in day 11 and there's almost nothing to loot and zombies spawn everywhere.

I wish the difficulty was a bit lower, or it didn't put basic armor locked behind level 8 upgrades. Still, the whole get to your loot before you die again mechanic makes for some extremely tense situations.

Edit - it's about a 50% chance a child is loudly talking in any online vr game I've ever played. The first thing I learn how to do is mute individuals :/

Yeah this drives me loving crazy. So does grabbing bullets and reloading the revolver when you're under any kind of time crunch. Gotta go nice and slow, which means you will die.

Agreed! I'm still on the CV1 with two cameras and it's 'good enough' for now. It's pixelated as hell, light bloom everywhere, but all of that disappears when you're in a good game.

I'm now at the bare minimum of running just about any VR (nvidia 970); would it be worth upgrading to a RTX2070 or something beefy if I still have an old rear end proc i7 3770, or will I just be CPU bound and not see any diff? Sorry if this is the wrong thread for hardware chat :downs:

Got a bit farther into Boneworks and suddenly two hours went by. Holding a flashlight in one hand and popping head shots with a pistol using the iron sights in the other is so. loving fun. The inventory accessibility and customization puts Walking Dead S&S to shame, although sometimes guns don't 'snap' into their spot when you think they will. Speaking of, the sound when you holster your weapons, reloading, racking guns all feel so good. I also can't believe I'm using regular walking locomotion, and there's jumping and sliding, and I've never once felt sick. Being able to see your legs/feet helps a ton in the platforming parts, maybe that helps.

Also coming from S&S it's so refreshing to not worry about item durability or ammo, being able to experiment and smash & shoot everything really makes the game shine. If i were 13 and played this I would never want to do anything else. Keep your kids away from vr lol

Fuuuck my computer comes to a screeching halt at like 10fps on the warehouse level of Boneworks. Looks like I have to upgrade from this 970 sooner than I wanted. I might as well get ready for HL:A, but I was hoping to keep the 970 until Cyberpunk came out. Probably for the best, when I'm in an Oculus game and pop an achievement it brings me to about 10fps until the stupid notification goes away :classiclol:

Does Steam still publish their hardware stats? I'm curious if most people are still rocking this ancient card.

God drat Audica is a great game! The way you can hold and manipulate a tone via how you rotation your wrist while melee'ing or chainshotting a bunch of notes is so good. So far I'd put this up there with Beat Saber in terms of quality. I especially love the aim graph at the end so you can adjust your shooting accordingly.

Yeah, boneworks starts killing me and I start dropping weapons on purpose just to relax my grip for a bit. I thought the fidelity of the knuckles, along with comfort, would put them in a different league, but I suppose there isn't any software yet. Let's see what they come up with in Alyx.

I really like how you dont just warp things into your palm, it comes close and then you sort of have to grab it mid air. I didn't see any inventory management, hopefully it's just as engaging.

I'm going through Stormland now and it's cool, but Boneworks really spoiled me with its inventory/gunplay.

Yeah, the shrinking into the wrist is interesting. I'm sure they'll have some Combine lore that explains how that works. Or they won't, I don't care as long as it's cool and intuitive.

I would have been worried if teleport was the only mechanic, but after seeing all three movement types it's obviously Valve put a lot of effort into the basics of movement. You know, the people that did Portal.
